Besides, I don't normally drain from that plug and then just fill from the cover plug. I like to remove the cover to get a good swipe below the ring gear...
Took my rear differential housing skid off, and drained the fluid out.
The cover I cleaned up and had powder coated months ago can finally go on. I reused the original gasket as it was fine, truck has 10k miles on it.
