  1. Recall: Rear Shock Absorber External Reservoir Corrosion (Safety Recall 25S01 - January 21, 2025)

No, not in my experience. My dealer was helpful and even if they didn't know all of the technical details, they endeavored to find an answer and keep me updated. Remember, the dealership is downstream of corpos.
  2. Recall: Rear Shock Absorber External Reservoir Corrosion (Safety Recall 25S01 - January 21, 2025)

I didn't want the buy back option. I was following protocol (Ford's Customer Service suggestions) to see what options were available. I was just "playing the game". In the end, I planned to drop the $2400 out of pocket to get it fixed, but the fact that the rear shock failure occured while...
  3. Recall: Rear Shock Absorber External Reservoir Corrosion (Safety Recall 25S01 - January 21, 2025)

Just to close the loop and in case it helps others. Contacted Ford Corporate Customer Service - They said nothing they could do except issue a buy-back - Buy Back was denied because I was past the 18 month window in Massachusetts - Kenneth "the useless" Bellard Jr. from Ford CS confirmed there...
  4. Bilstein Shock recall

    Same issue, different thread. https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/recall-rear-shock-absorber-external-reservoir-corrosion-safety-recall-25s01-january-21-2025.107785/#post-2433241
  5. Recall: Rear Shock Absorber External Reservoir Corrosion (Safety Recall 25S01 - January 21, 2025)

I can report back on the offer. Problem is, I've been pretty kind to the Bronco so far. Of course I've taken it offroad (bc that's why I bought a badlands) and I've knocked it around a bit on some trails in Vermont, but I've owned the vehicle for 4 years and only put 24k miles on her. I don't...
  6. Recall: Rear Shock Absorber External Reservoir Corrosion (Safety Recall 25S01 - January 21, 2025)

I would definitely NOT recommend driving with the shocks blown. On the highway, even minor bumps or dips can throw the rear end into a skid. This happened to us yesterday and was terrifying. The antilock breaks engaged and sent us into a skid at 65 MPH. Very not cool. Once the reservoirs fall...
  7. JCR Soft Top Roof Rack - Looking for reviews

seems like this may be the better option over the DV8 version, which seems to have noise issues and does not have a front wind deflector. Appreciative of the reviews
  8. [How-To] FORScan Audio/Speaker Mods

this is what worked for me.
  9. Cactus Grey Sas Badlands with a Few Extras

@jrobVT looks great, thanks for sharing pics. I have the same Cactus BL, 4-door. Where did you find the color matched Ford logo or was that DIY? I'm making a run to the local powder coating shop in Boston -- looks like you might be in VT --- so will probably do the wheel rings, badging, and...
  10. Soft Top Roof Rack Prototype -- any interest in this?

    very cool also interested, thanks!
  11. Paint protection film PPF -- considering XPEL for Bronco Raptor

@computertom where did you go in Boston and would you share a price range? I've visited Pelicar in Malden (was quoted 8k) and will get estimates from Craft Detailing in Dedham and then AVI Boston next....
  12. My Bronco build wrapped in dark camo [+ BFG 37's, King Coilovers, Camburg, Alpha Equipt, ARB, Baja Designs, Rigid, LoD]

way to commit to the vision. I love it, looks badass. any thoughts, feedback on the ford performance tune? How did you prioritize your build components? I can't imagine it does much for the already rough MPG but use case dependent?
  13. New Fog Light Kits with Rigid, Baja Designs and Diode Dynamics with Plug N Play Harnesses.

can't wait to buy my lights from SPV. you can tell by the customer testimonials, product descriptions, and reviews (with SPV responses!) that these folks know their stuff, care about customers getting the right product, and provide great service. Take my money, and thank you.
  14. The best camp light I've ever used!

rad. thanks for the video. I thought it would be priced higher tbh. Nice product.
