  1. AUX Switch Amperage - Increase?

Yes there are some fitment isssues. Without the battery hold down it fits fine but the added thickness of that bracket under it makes it about 1/4” too tall. Have my hood stops up higher enough for the hood to be flush with the fenders and there is still some rubbing. I modified the shape of the...
  2. Arb Twin compressor and Factory AUX switches

I use aux 6 for mine. Not for direct power but to supply the incoming power to the ARB switch. Mainly did it as a failsafe so that the compressor will only run if the bronco is running and the switch is flipped.
  3. (fun list!) Bronco accessories to be avoided! (keep it friendly)

One thing I wish I had ordered different is my J-Top. I like the product and the fact that I still get UV protection and some wind reduction when I take off the front panels, but I ordered the wrong color. Went with the “titanium gray” thinking it would be light enough to reflect some of the...
  4. (fun list!) Bronco accessories to be avoided! (keep it friendly)

It was one of the first things I got for mine. 27k miles and no cracks yet. And when you park next to a bronco without one in the summer you see just how many bugs it does deflect.
  5. Mistakes were made…

I fully agree with you that is part of the fun of exploring. But for this situation I got myself into there was no excuse for falling into a hole I knew was there lol
  6. Mistakes were made…

Recovery was pretty straightforward actually. Anchored to a gladiator with a Rome in the back while a wrangler pulled forward slowly with a winch. Engaged the rear locker and put it in crawler gear and it just floated the right rear over the hole.
  7. Mistakes were made…

I think it will, looks like nothing is bent just slid up on the mounting bolts. Gonna check and see if it will move back in place on my next day off, actually thinking about pushing the other side up so that the gap between the fender flair and bumper goes away lol
  8. Mistakes were made…

Upon closer inspection now that it’s daylight it appears the bumper got bent up slightly. Still impressed with how the factory “capable” bumper took the hit.
  9. Mistakes were made…

Not a bad idea. Everyone feel free to add their “navigation errors” here lol
  10. Mistakes were made…

Primarily pay attention to the trail. Went out to the far end of southern in Rio rancho NM to assist in the recovery of someone else who was in a precarious situation. Was heading back out after others had rescued that one and was almost to the end of the trail and knew that bad spot was there...
  11. Mistakes were made…

I fully knew the hole was there…. Thankfully we were able to get it out without much fuss and no damage other than a couple new scratches in the steel bumper.
  12. Top 4 Mickey Thompson Baja Tires

Currently running Baja Boss AT 255/85R17 on my non sas BD with no lift. Being load range E they are heavy (especially mounted on ateel wheels) and a little bit rougher than the General Grabbers that came from the factory. Wet traction, mud and snow they have been great. The local rocks in NM...
  13. Tall and skinny tire time.

Some observations after 6000 miles. Went with a lower pressure when I got them installed to offset the stiffness of being load range E. Was running at 30 PSI and the ride was pretty good but fuel mileage took a hit. Went from 21-22 MPG on the factory grabbers to 16-17 on the mickeys. Ride was...
  14. Enable Cornering Fog Lights on Bronco with Modular Bumper via Forscan?

so no light is better than “improper” light because the book says that’s not what they’re for. Bumper is too high on a bronco for fog lights to be anything other than decorative anyway. I have a dual function, spot and flood, light bar under my winch and flood style ditch lights at the A pillar...
