Actually there's another option which I'm currently running, which is a JCR. I've run JCR's products before and have been very happy with them as a company, but this was the first rack which I found that seemed like it was built with purpose and expandability, rather than strictly for profit at...
I know there's a few facebook groups out there that are strictly parts for sale, and i've seen a bunch of posts for factory take-offs on them too-I'd try there in addition to here.
Had mine done at Midnight Protective Films in Troy, my buddy runs it-I can send you his number if you'd like and if you'd like to see mine in person too we can arrange that-let me know!
You guys really hustled on this and it looks great, I'll be ordering at launch.
@JcrOffroad Assuming all the supported accessory mounts that you currently offer for the JL rack (ex-awning mounts, light kit, etc) work on this rack as well?
@JcrOffroad now that you guys have a proto any rough idea on date of availability to order? I'm sitting on the Gobi/your rack fence, but I try and support a Michigan owned company when I can, especially when they have a quality product.
The real question though-is it handicorn rated?
@JcrOffroad I've been waiting for you guys to discuss this for a while-I'll donate my Bronco for an extended period of time if it helps speed things up, I'll even include my CVT RTT and 270 awning with it so you can make sure those work too ;)
I have a similar issue that I had my dealer look at in January but they couldn't find anything. Mine happens every time I get off the highway or drive at speeds above around 50MPH for say 10-15+ minutes, and even with 5,600 miles it still happens so it's going in again at the end of the month...
This ☝ Badlands is a heavy pig with the 2.7 and the electronic sway bar disconnect, hence why you couldn't add the roof rack option on the First Editions either.
Now this is from a factory order standpoint when ordering a Bronco, if you're looking to adding it after the fact there's nothing...
I'll be following this, I'm a bit bummed there are not more options out yet given it's been 7-8 months or so that they've had hard tops out there to R&D off of, but maybe my expectations are just too high....
ZRoadz would be my choice currently, but only because it seems more of a modular...
