To each their own, but the only purpose of putting a v8 into a truck is for bragging rights. The hp wars have ruined cars IMO. The more powerful cars become, the less fun they are. The absolute last thing the Bronco needs is a V8, IMO.

Agree. I'm so freaking sick and tired of the car manufacturers not offering manuals and then saying that no one buys them. I'm so sick and tired of hearing the manufacturers tell me what I should and shouldn't want. I done giving my money to morons. Build me the car, I want if you want my money...

As long as the top still cracks, and creaks, and leaks, and the db level remains above 80 at 80 mph, and there are at least 3 recalls per year, it will still be a Bronco.

22 Badlands, 32k miles, garage kept, no cracks. BUT cracks are just one problem with the hard top. Incessant creaking and deafening wind/road noise are unacceptable annoyances that should have certainly been fixed by now. It would be extremely easy to remedy these issues if Ford actually wanted...

I have the same pile of recall notices for my Badlands. I also have two Porsches (which cost > 3 times what the Bronco costs). Ford is better at customer service if that makes you feel better. Porsche rarely if ever issues recalls. They just pretend the problems don't exist.

IMO there is only one reason to buy a Bronco: because it's available with a manual transmission. That's certainly the only reason I own one. There are many better SUVs available if you want an automatic.

One more data point: My Bronco sat outside at the Newark airport for 24 days and fired right up with no detectable complaints. Late February was cold, but March was unreasonably warm. There appears to be no or minimal parasitic drain. Impressive!

Put a 6 speed manual in that and I'd buy it.

There are rubber pads so there is no metal-to-metal contact. It's well made, and the backup camera view remains the same.

I'm curious if Ford conducted an owner satisfaction survey. A search on Google and on bronco6g.com came up empty. I think this is the first time i ever bought a new vehicle and the manufacturer didn't send me a survey to hear my thoughts. I realize that not everyone would get a survey even if...

Looks like a better design than the OEM. I wonder why no aftermarket manufacturers offer a hardtop that utilizes the OEM rear window from the OEM hardtop. Seems like that would be easy to remove/install, would save a lot of money, and reduce shipping weight.
