I've had the boots on my RCV axles fail 4 times (all 4 boots). About every 9 months. Probably going to get Ford Performance CVs after I put the stock CVs on it and break one of those.
Unfortunately Ford has "programmed" the dealers and techs to follow the procedures EXACTLY at risk of not being paid.
I got "lucky" because I had the codes that Indicated the harness and disconnect needed to both be replaced.
Good luck!
So my 2021 Badlands started throwing the "Drive under 20 miles. Get Sta-Bar Disconnect Serviced Now" message.
I found this very helpful thread: https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/my-sta-bar-saga-water-ingress.88457/
I have 37K on my 2.5 year old Bronco and when I purchased it I bought the...
Thank you! I'm waiting to hear from Ford on a couple of fronts to see if they are going to cover it or not. But I will make a new thread with the outcome to help any others in this situation.
Where does Ford publish a comprehensive list of all the parts not covered by ESP so someone can know ahead of time which parts will not be covered by Ford?
Asking for a friend...
So we can agree it doesn't make sense.
If Ford can arbitrarily decide that parts that have known manufacturing defects aren't covered by the ESP that seems problematic.
That in the totally unforseen circumstance that their 60K vehicle is exposed to water it's on them to fix it.
I just want...
Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.
Found DTC C103A and corrosion on C1294A & C1294B
Ran it through Oasis and even though the TSB clearly states its covered under ESP, Oasis says NO COVERAGE FOUND when run with causal part 2B325 again exactly as per the TSB
So they're telling me...
So I'm dealing with this issue right now. @Ford Motor Company my dealer is telling me this isn't covered by my ESP warranty that I bought.
So you manufacture a part that fails due to water intrusion (bad part) and then refuse to cover it? For a customer that's got 37K miles and an ESP???
