Wow that looks really great in the iconic silver! I’ve seen some of the OEM grilles painted entirely body color and they’ve looked odd. But the combination of this vintage-style grille and silver that appears almost like raw steel really looks great!
The description is pretty vague in the owner's manual - it doesn't even bother mentioning that the system uses a variable clutch instead of a center differential to send torque to the front:
Advanced 4x4 With Automatic On Demand Engagement
This system monitors various vehicle sensory inputs to...
This was the first time I took my flares off the truck to really clean them. I was shocked how much sand and dry dirt they were carrying in their various gaps. I may do that more often since it’s a challenge to wax the paint without leaving white wax residue on the flares.
Ah, yeah I definitely don’t want anything oily or leaves marks. If 303 is like that, I’ll pass..
For the interior, I usually I just vacuum and dust and rarely ever use any product. In fact the last product I had any loyalty to for the interior was Lexol’s Vinylex but that was like 20 years...
Nice MOLLE panel design. I like the added USB ports and light. (y)
BTW, in the product images, the side brackets are labeled as “LF” and “LR” with arrows pointing forward. Should that be “LF” and “RF” for “Left Front” and “Right Front”?
maybe (hopefully) it’s just camo to hide the actual shape, but that super-high belt line looks awful. Instead of their arm, the driver could rest their chin on that thing with the windows open.
With that sporty raked windshield, the profile would look a lot better if they took about 10” out of...
I didn't have an issue like that. Are the metal clips just not latching in the holes, or do the tabs not even alight with the holes?
The only thing I found is the grille might lose a bit of its curvature if it lies flat on a table for a long period, like when doing all the painting. For...
I’m not in the market for a 4-door, but this truck is appealing. I like the engine, the seats, the door pockets replacing the useless nets, the wheels, and the FE copper color. I‘m even beginning to like its version of the modular grille introduced on the 60th anniversary edition. Maybe Ford...
Interesting. I always thought of PlastX as similar to paint polish, assuming it very mildly weakens the plastic chemical bonds so you can polish away the top surface to a new glossy finish. I use PlastX on headlights to clear up haze, and even on some home electronics like my SpaceMouse to help...
I guess I’ll have to wait and see if the stains reappear after the product has weathered away. But zooming into the photo, the dirt does seem gone from the tiny valleys in the texture.
Your fenders do look good. I would have expected LineX to be just as difficult to clean since it has a...
I sprayed the ScrubbingBubbles and let it sit and foam up a bit but probably less than a minute. I’ll try letting it sit longer next time. I did use a brush to work in the soap before using the wash rag to scrub it and then rinse it off. My flares have looked mud stained for over a year, so...
