Based on everything I've read, which at this point is a lot, there is no certificate for standard retail price protection. I have seen the final number and they just based it off my original DORA from when I re-ordered for MY22 back on 10/13/21. Your signature says you re-orded Oct 22, I'm...
The $2,000 is standard retail price protection, so it's coming off the sale price now. Granger folks did say they can submit an exception for the 38406 price protection which takes 4-6 weeks to get an answer.
Yeah, I've confirmed with at least six Ford customer service reps that there are no certificates in my name, several have also agreed that there should be but they say there is nothing they can do about it. Granger said they'll put in for an exception which takes 4-6 weeks to get an answer.
I probably shouldn't have mentioned 38446 in my first post, my understanding is that it's just retail price protection. There isn't any certificate in smart VINCENT for either 38446 or 38406
Nope, it's been a Badlands 2 door since 7/14/20. I converted to a MY21 order on 8/10/21 and then to a MY22 order on 10/13/21. The only change I made was that I did not add the modular bumper to the MY22 when it no longer came standard on the Badlands. But a bumper shouldn't matter and I wouldn't...
I'm in the same boat, I've been so incredibly frustrated since I found out last week. Being told by at least half a dozen Ford reps that I qualify but that they can't/won't help and to go through the dealer. Then the dealer gets given some bogus reason why Ford won't honor the price protection...
@RagnarKon @Ohnoohnoooo Sounds like you're having the opposite happen. There is no certificate in VINCENT under my name for the first MY22 increase (#38406) but there is no problem with the mid-year increase (#38466). Ford has told me in no uncertain terms that I absolutely do qualify for the...
Sounds like you're having the opposite happen. There is no certificate in VINCENT under my name for the first MY22 increase ($975) but there is no problem with the mid-year increase ($2,000). Ford has told me in no uncertain terms that I absolutely do qualify for the first MY22 price protection...
That's probably all correct but the price protection is based first and foremost on the reservation date. The order date only comes into play to determine which trim your price protection would be based on if you changed your trim. I never changed my trim or anything else for that matter so my...
@A51Bronco I hear you, but it's not the dollar amount, it's the principal. The one thing that made waiting 2.5 years sufferable was that at the very least I would only pay MY21 pricing.
@Ohnoohnoooo I agree, I've been really patient with the Ford agents and calmly just asked someone to explain...
Yeah my dealer is doing all that too, they're great. But Ford is supposed to issue a personal offer price protection certificate to make up for the difference between MY21 and MY22. I qualify because I had a day 1 reservation, but instead Ford is telling me to kick rocks and pay an extra $975.
Base cost, I will essentially be paying MY22 (pre-mid year increase) pricing even though I should be price protected to MY21 pricing. It's just the standard price protection from the flow chart nothing related to accessories. I actually am considering walking. After 2.5 years Ford isn't going to...
The dealer contacted Ford and they were told by Ford that I would not be getting a personal offer/price protection certificate/rebate check. I called Ford as well and was told the same thing. Apparently nobody can fix it or tell me why I don't qualify. To be clear this is only the MY21 to MY22...
