Scheduled appt at the dealership for my second steering wheel/horn/airbag cover to be replaced. First was replaced before the service bulletin. Now out of warranty on our 21 OBX, wondering what this bullshit is gonna cost me.

driver side seat heater doesn’t work. Three indicator lights show up on instrument panel.
Passenger side works fine. I visually inspected the SCME connection (I think that’s what I looked at directly mounted under the passenger seat) and noticed no burnt connections...
Off to get a new battery for our 21 OBX in the morning. 4 years out of it, not mad. Charged it twice over the course of the week. Still getting the power saving message every other day or two
It should be noted that Ford’s patent on the keyless door pad entry expired. Used to be standard on mid tier and above vehicles. It no longer is. The one on our 21 OuterBanks is a far cry from what I’ve had on previous F-150’s.
first, check fuse 16. It may be blown or weak. If not there, open the cap on the reservoir and try your fluid. If that solves the issue, drill a tiny hole in the cap so the reservoir can breathe. Third option is an unplugged line. It’s under the windshield cowling passenger side. Tough to get...
As far as the recalls go, yes. A lot of em. Ours is a 21. Probably have had any and all of them. It was year 1 of a new vehicle. To be expected. As to the continued recalls…….
Own a 21 more door OuterBanks. Yes, there are some creature comforts missing with a High/Lux package mall crawler. Nothing to hate. It’s a 4x4 Ford, not a G Wagon or a Defender. Largest gripe? Memory seats and non cooled seats.
