I just had it installed today and I noticed a little more power but mainly the shift changes are smoother. I also usually get around 19mpg on the highway cruising at 70mph but on the way home it was around 23mpg on eco mode which was very surprising. I'll test more to see if it was a fluke...

I did call and they said they are not a Ford Performance retailer so they wont install but I did just ask the service department direct. I ended up just having it installed at Galpin Autosports.

They said they usually have to order them but I got lucky they had one in stock. If you bring your own unit they will install it for $250 but if you order through them then they will install it for $200.

I'm having the same problem here. All dealerships I have called have refused to install it. I've called a few shops including the one suggested earlier in this thread and one quoted me $1025 for the unit and install. Another shop said they couldn't give me a price over the phone. I negotiated...

I tried this and it shows no shops on the map besides a few fleet maintenance places which aren't open to public. I appreciate the help though

I'll try to visit a few local repair shops and ask them in person if they have someone ASE certified.

Is there a list of places that have ASE certified techs? I have been searching on google and haven't found any local shops that mention that have ASE certified techs.

I did mention to two dealerships that it is approved for use in California but they said they wont install anything performance related.

I recently heard that the Ford Performance Tune is now legal in California but it will void your warranty unless installed by a Ford Certified Technician. But I am unable to find any dealership willing to install it. I am looking for technicians but none specifically state they are certified...

Any updates on when it will be CARB legal in California? Would it be possible to have it installed in a different state to keep the warranty? @LethalPerformance
