I test drove a Rubicon, hated it. Then test drove a Defender, and brought it home for good. It's been awesome! I do miss not having a removable top, but it has an enormous sunroof so....close enough!

@NayNay yeah actually I've thought about it overnight and I think I'll keep the reservation and maybe just change the build to be a true you rather than my you/daily driver. Is that possible? Move to 99 and make some changes?

Just put a deposit on a defender as well. Will decided what to do with the bronco reservation at some point.

Welp, after officially getting the email from Ford that it would be another 6+ months till I got a bronco, I decided to go drive a Rubicon and a Defender. Hated the Rubicon, but fell in love with the Defender. I'll miss being able to take off the roof and doors a bit... And maybe I'll get an...

A 41k Rubicon and any badlands seem to be a bit of different animals, based on what I just tried to price out on Jeep.com

When I saw the delays mounting back in March, we bought a bmw convertible to enjoy during the summer while we wait. Will probably lose a little money on it, but the kids are loving it. And if the market stays silly, we may end up breaking even!
