Hey everyone. Picked up my Bronco Nov 2022 and it wasn't long before the grinding started. I had the TSB completed about 2 years ago, so 2 full winters of cold temps and the grinding has never returned.

If this will get rid of most of the creaking I get (2dr hard top), then this is worth it. I don't need it to light up...

That makes sense. Thank you! I've driven manual transmissions for 40 years and have never experienced or heard of anything like this before.

I don't doubt you guys and what the Ford dealerships are telling you, but I had the syncros replaced a year ago and the problem went away. While I realize that others had the same thing done and they said the noise returned, there are others who also have not had the noise return. I don't...

I would have it done. Fixed it for me. 1 year/12k miles later and still quiet.

I had the synchros changed about a year ago. 12,000 miles and plenty of cold mornings later and still no noise.

Same here with some overnight temps in the low 40s. I used to have the grinding back in the spring at those temps, so I'm thinking we're good! 🤞

Looking forward to the 2dr option. Price should be lower too?

I got the 2.3 because I wanted a manual and couldn't get it in the 2.7 on my BL

Mine took about 2-3 days of actual time to complete the TSB. They had it for about 2 weeks.

The dealer had mine for almost 2 weeks, but it actually took them about 2-3 days to perform the TSB. 5 weeks later... still no noise. (y)

Is this after you had the TSB done with the -D synchros installed?

Almost a month in with about 1,000 miles on the -D fix and still no noise. The weather has been warm lately, but I was having the noise regardless prior to the fix.

I think yours is the only one that had the synchros replaced with -D and the noise has come back. I could be wrong though. I'd take it back and have them do it again or have them install the updated transmission when available. Today is week 3 for me and still no noise. It was 37 degrees...

1 week update. Put on about 200 miles. Still no noise.
