The 2nd-Gen Bronco was considered too big to meet the Army's requirements at the time.
(a few years later this would become a moot point when they adopted the massive Humvee).
Ford might have also just been trying to throw a Hail Mary to find a new use for the First-gen's tooling at the...
The M151 MUTT jeep was actually a Ford design (and a predecessor to the Bronco and the Humvee) rather than Jeep.
It looked similar to the old M38s and CJs of the era, but it was a totally different vehicle. It was a unibody (for better legroom) and utilized a fully independent suspension (front...

They're still P-metric (thus no serious rock-crawling), but they are nevertheless a big upgrade from the stock Bridgestone Dueler AT RH-S.
It's a 7-speed with a stock 4.46 rear end. The 2.3 still makes enough torque to be able to move the 33s (technically...

Where are the off-road events nearby? The closest place I found was Badlands in Indiana. Apparently, the...
I put chrome overlays on the grille letters to my Base. At first, I kind of regretted it (I thought it was too shiny). But it eventually grew up on me.
Yeah, it's a cheap made-in-China product 😒, but then again, almost everything is made-in-China nowadays...
Here's my 2023 Base (with 17-inch rims and 32-inch tires from the Big Bend trim). I live in the city (SW Side), and even with just 32-inch tires, it barely clears my garage (see pic at bottom).
My goal is to make this as off-road worthy as possible (maybe add 33-inch LT-rated tires later) while...
Here's my 2023 Base Bronco.
The changes so far are:

- Rynoskin steel running boards (from Amazon)

- Chrome letters on the grille

- Ford Performance Tune
