I've been very impressed with the combination of size, fast charging and monitoring in this unit.
Only downside, and it's theoretical until something goes wrong, is that it's completely sealed. Repairs look to be a non starter
Unless you've already bought it, and assuming you want to keep it as small and economical as possible, I think you'd be better served by getting the Genius 5x1. It's the smallest and least expensive NOCO charger that's intended to be mounted permanently on-board.
This gets you the waterproof...
I bought one of these (https://www.homedepot.com/p/Simpson-Strong-Tie-Outdoor-Accents-Avant-Collection-ZMAX-Black-Powder-Coated-90-degree-Angle-for-4x-Lumber-APVA4/312991871) for $5 at home depot and drilled out one of the holes to be able to mount the AC inlet. Then I attached it to the...
Is the only difference that the opening is shallower? I'm putting together my own hoist system and thought it strange that the hooks that a lot of others have bought didn't seem to seat as deeply on my painted top.
Are the rack points in the same locations? I'm wondering if the rear mount...
I've always had a battery charger on my vehicles, and wanted to put one of the Victron IP67 chargers with bluetooth monitoring somewhere on my bronco, preferably near the battery. I actually reached out to stinger to see if they would sell just the bracket that they include with their amp...
That's exactly correct. It's not fastened anywhere except the lower right of drawing slides over the battery tray bolt. The tab on the lower left slots into the little pocket between the fuse box and the engine bay wall.
The tab on the bracket gets wider at the top, so between getting...
I'm actually trying to put a victron battery charger in that spot and came up with a bracket similar what comes with the stinger amp install kit. I think they want you to put the fuse mount in that spot, but it's actually a fairly large space.
The brackets are arriving today from SendCutSend...
The biggest thing that gives me pause is that I didn't see a single fuse in that video. I'm sure the accessories they connected at the end had inline fuses, but none were shown.
I would put something like this block from Waytek rather than high-current unfused wire. It's the same physical...
Admittedly, there is a bit you can't see that might connect the dots. I made a wiring harness using 6 pin Deutsche connectors and connected it to the 6 Aux wires near the firewall. These six wires go into the 6 relay connectors to switch the relays on an off.
I already have the compressor...
I made a 1/8" thick aluminum plate that I mounted above the battery with a high amp fuse block so I could power my under-hood compressor. I included a 6 relay fuse box as well and extended the aux switches from the firewall to the plate so I wouldn't be current limited on future accessories...
I think you're seeing the fact that incentives don't really matter as much as the length of time the truck has been sitting on the lot.
I would be willing to bet that those deals you've negotiated at $12k-$13k off have been on the lot for over two months, if not longer. The dealer is feeling...
