  1. Recovery Strap - Where do I start?

Isn't it a cardinal sin for a rock climber to step on their ropes? If you're doing a recovery, you don't step over the winchline/towstrap - you step on so you don't get vivisected (and remember most tow straps are only rated to do ~10 pulls before they should be retired per mfg ratings).
  2. In LOVE with the Bronco! Want to leave car...

Factor in costs of a lot more fuel, higher annual registration, higher insurance, etc to see if it's worth it/you can afford it.
  3. *UPDATE* Complete loss of steering wheel controls - blinkers, high beams, cruise, etc etc.

I hear you - I normally do all the maintenance on my vehicles, but the diff leak at the pinion seal was still covered under warranty and I had three outstanding safety recalls that I thought I could get taken care of at the same time. The fact they'd perform the software update and not verify...
  4. *UPDATE* Complete loss of steering wheel controls - blinkers, high beams, cruise, etc etc.

Had my Bronco in to service the warranteed coverage of the leaking front diff at the pinion seal, and to perform 2 fairly basic safety recalls. They informed me there was an issue with my blinker switch, to which I said "everything is functioning 100%, don't touch it." Got the vehicle back...
  5. Trip Report: Back Way to Crown King Az 3-9-24

I've run that trail (and tons of other AZ trails) many times. My off-road groups start to get annoyed with me because I'm constantly stopping to get out and pick up trash, but I want these trails to stay open. Side-by-Sides were a mistake.
  6. Front Diff Leaking - am I missing two bolts?

I checked mine again, and if you look at my original photo, the oil starts up much higher than the drain plug, (by the time it drips down along the diff casing, it ends up looking like it's just below the plug - my pinion area is more oily than the bottom of the diff case. Time to schedule a...
  7. Front Diff Leaking - am I missing two bolts?

How many miles on your Bronco? Mine started leaking between 35k & 40k...
  8. Front Diff Leaking - am I missing two bolts?

Went to do my 40k oil change and my first peak under the Bronco revealed that the front diff is leaking (I've changed my oil myself every 5k since new, so I'm under the truck on a somewhat regular basis). Once I got the skid plate off, and started to investigate, I've got two blank bolt holes...

  10. A/C issues…

About 5 hours into my 6+ hr trip from San Diego to Phx, the A/C stopped blowing cold air and only blew ambient temps… I tried shutting off the air and fan, letting it rest while still driving, turn it on and it would blow cool for a minute or so before returning to ambient temperature. This went...

You'll be fine for the whole trail, including the staircase. Just brake hard/go slow going over each "step" on the way down. If you have the forward facing camera, use that when you enter the staircase and you'll have no issues.
  13. Comparing portable twin cylinder air compressors with set target pressure option

There's an extensive thread about all the rebranded versions of this compressor: https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/napa-maxi-trac-300lpm-dual-cylinder-air-compressors-list-of-identical-rebranded-compressors-some-in-stock.43685/page-22#post-2060679

@RedDawg For future reference, remember to fuel up before you get to 4 Sons at I-17 & Carefree Hwy. They're very proud of their gas.
