Agreed, there is a massive difference between the m190 4.46 and the m210 4.70s. I didn't realize it until I seen your photos. I'd be curious to see my 4.46 M210 opened up but that won't be until I swap these gears in. This is the 4.70 ring gear my buddy smashed up a couple weeks back. I'd...
Another 4.46 M190 bites the dust, I've seen so many I've lost count at this point. Most of em I've seen break in reverse, either very lightly wheeling or stuck in snow/mud. Mine broke with 2200 miles on it, on a 20* decline trying to reverse to straighten up my line. Swapped an M210 in and it...
Keep it as a spare imo. I used to have a spare (broke that one too now lol) and it would've saved my ass when I broke down in Kentucky 7.5 hrs away from home. Had to have a buddy drive me down a spare rack to get it the rest of the way off the trail and home.
I tore up a stock hoss 3.0 rack...
I fabricated a top hat for ORIs up front to get them as high as possible and a lower mount but when I reached out to them a year or so ago they wanted a full payment and 12-14 month lead time so I never pulled the trigger on struts. The compression length measurement is awesome with ORIs.
My...
Didn't work with 9v+ and I didn't mess around long enough to try 12v+. I don't know what logic ford uses to control the parking brake motor off hand or if it's even just a solid 12v signal but it was worth a shot lol
What did work though and I'm assuming will be proper procedure going forward...
Likely going to give the 12v and jumpers a try tomorrow to get the piston to release. If that doesn't work I'll have to throw the old pads back in and throw it together and do it in fdrs but I'm kinda grumpy about paying for another license just to do brakes lol
I got a little deep before...
I asked him what that meant and he said that they are waiting on a shipment to fulfill orders but that it looks like they are going to be listed as back ordered. I'm assuming they either don't have a shipment coming or it's already sold off, but I really don't know. He couldn't give me a time...
Has anyone ordered a rack lately? I've had one on order for a couple of weeks, just got off the phone with ford and they are "on the way to being back ordered" in the customer service guys words. He did make it sound like an order was coming in but couldn't tell me when that would be, go figure lol
I've got a billet 3.0 rack from Vasher Design in it now working flawlessly. Haven't pushed it like that yet but have a couple good trips planned the next few weeks!
Here's some shots of the guts of my stock 3.0. Bushings were destroyed, passeneger housing has significant wear for less than 5k...
Stock hose 3 tie rods no braces or supports, and I will post some pics when I tear it apart. There was black bushing-looking material on my rack bar on the passenger side.
I've been mulling it over for the past 6 months, there really isn't any real estate to work with under the bronco for a solid axle, you end up with a minimum of 6-7" of lift to clear link mounts (or go radius arm but yuck) and have any sort of up travel. Even if you 3 link the front it gets...
Yea but I have a billet housing for this one this time. Long term id like to come up with a way to use the billet rack as the manual link, ditch eps, and do a "hydro assist" style setup similiar to what some of the koh broncos have done but I'm also deep down questioning IFS and going much...
Unfortunately I put it in last month lol one Windrock trip down trail 16, and a few trips to the local park on it. Nothing I wouldn't have done with the hose 2.0 and bushings, but it was just nicer with the little extra steering power.
Edit, actually just hit 2 months with it in, probably...
Well I broke my stock hoss 3.0 rack this weekend, popped the cap for the take up/support under the pinion.
I was working my way through a rock garden and had just gotten up a fairly nice sized pile of rocks, when I came off the top rock I had about a 1ft drop onto the driver tire (turned...
