I think you’ve sold me on the Leitner. Super premium looking, far superior to the others. I also like how the clamps assemble separately and are their own unit. Far less torsional stress on the clamps under load.

The clamp contour is based off the MIC/other design. Their rack exerts immense upward force when the clamps are joined, thus the cracking/splitting of pieces. A design where clamps are assembled first and a rack bolted onto that would be the safest bet. Prinsu racks is an example.

It looks like a bunch of the info on their product page now lists that it is not compatible or to reach out to them, despite that not being there in the past.

OEM should fit since it’s OEM, but wight limits on it are terrible. Although what’s funny is on Ford marketing pics on social media and even their accessory shop they have it holding a roof top tent. Hard to imagine that it’s robust with all the plastic on it though.

I have seen window stickers list different prices for tops between different models/trim levels.

That’s because most clamps are based off the MIC roof design.
