Non-SAS BD. Top left is stock 32s. Top right is with SAS takeoffs, no lift. Bottom is same SAS takeoffs with 2" spacer lift. Now running 2.5"lift with new coil-overs and 35x12.5x17 Mickey Thompsons and it is perfect!
23 BD 2DR 7MT with 38,000 miles and no issues so far other than a slight cold temp initial rattle others have mentioned. Added 35's and 2 inch lift. It is a blast to drive, especially in sport mode! The 2DR with crawler gear is a beast on the trails, goes anywhere and crawls up anything.
What were typical symptoms folks have seen prior to failure/replacement?
I have had an intermittent "rumble" for a few weeks that I have never experienced before in any other vehicle. Best description is that of running over a rumble strip that is so light you can barely hear or feel it, but...
I have SAS take-offs on my 2dr 7MT BD and have no problems. I would not install 315s on stock BD rims either, but I also avoid spacers....asking for problems IMO. Enjoy!
Shifting pattern will improve with bigger tires, especially 1st and 2nd....based on my experience going from the stock 32's to 35's. But now 6th only useful over 65 mph.
The manual's also drive better in Sport mode, IMO! Turbo kicks in quicker.
