on my 21 badlands manual I did method 0 offset bead grip rims and ran 315/75/17 tires for about 6mo. I then upgraded to 6100 bilsteins and set the rear at the 1st/lowest setting and the front at the one up from lowest for a little leveling.
worked just fine with no lift and prefer the methods...
I was involved in an accident last year where I ended up rear ending a 1st gen Colorado that itself rear ended a stopped car on the highway. I was trying to change lanes and the passengers side bed is what I hit with my driver's side front (at the frame rail) folded the colorado...like the bed...
Awesome pics. Love the mountains in the view contrasting with the sandy landscape.
We did Fins N Things in Aug...105*.
Want to do Poison spider and top of the world hopefully next year but might run Fins N things again.
Not as bad as I thought it would be on price from them. Not cheap but not bad either...honestly was thinking this would be a 8-10k kit. Wonder if the extended shaft could be swapped into a RCV or spicer upgraded CV...did not look at the spline or anything.
Probably still in the high 90's and maybe low 100's F or 32-38C. It is "a dry heat" so it feels less oppressive than 90*F and 80+% humidity here in the St. Louis MO area. Night time temps are lower so you still might want a sweater or light jacket for later at night. I dont think it gets into...
Went a couple weeks ago and did Fins N Things. We were staying in Keystone (has become our annual summer vacation to escape Mid west heat and humidity) and it was a 4-4.5hr drive one way.
The lodging situation actually looks fairly decent in and around town. They are building some nice...
Just did the 6100 on my Badlands a couple of weekends ago. I reused the factory hat and internal bump stop/dust shield.
I did end up using a piece of tube on a jackstand with the tube touching the lower shock. Then lowered the bronco so the jack pushed the shock assembly up and pushed out...
Awesome idea, I have my wolfbox camera attached to winch angled down and I am always worried about wind/how far out front it is. Will be looking at this option for sure as it resolves the wind/debris and protect the camera a little.
Mounted mine in the front with my winch to use as a front camera. Have it angled down to give me visibility where it stops at the hood from the drivers seat. Its firm enough that it does not vibrate when driving but I am able to adjust if needed as needed.
Plan on finally doing Red Cone in the bronco this summer (probably last week in July or first week in Aug). Have done all the other trails in/around the Webster pass area. Have done Red Cone 2 times in SXS but never in the bronco as last time I was out there my tires were getting fairly bald...
Do you have the over head switches? I have a foxbox or whatever a d have my rear camera mounted on my winch. I initially thought the red wire was a signal to turn that camera on so I hooked it to one of the switches. when I powered the switch all it did was turn on the driving line bit your...
I have the vinyl and it's ok, I do plan on going with katzkin or another seat co to get leather. For the factory cost needing to go to higher l
high lux (I have mid) and the fact A lot of factory leather is either thin or mostly vinyl I will do it myself.
