It happens several times a year. Like it was said earlier, many other sites routinely offer 25% off but that gets eaten up by shipping and you canāt use points. Through Ford, you can ship it directly to most dealers at no charge and use your points.
It is what it is. Youāll probably never know the real reason. Lots of urban myths and few real answers. It will be fine in any case. If you look at my signature, it happened in ā23 as well as every other year.
Thatās because it is not an option in 2026. Neither are 2 door Heritage Editions. The high end special edition now is only the Stroppe and only in 4 doors.
They probably subbed it out to an independent. Pretty much standard with most dealers and body shops. Most independents get a large portion of their business from body shops and dealerships.
Ford made 11.5k Gen 1 Lightnings over a 3 year period. Getting specialty parts became a real challenge after 10-15 years. Not sure what the total number of 2 door Heritages and Stroppes are but Iām guessing way less.
The problem is later on in life if you plan on keeping the vehicle and itās a low production model. They donāt keep the specialty parts around long. After 10 years or so certain parts that get replaced because of accidents etc become more difficult to source. Given enough demand, somebody may...
That is my biggest fear of having a low production vehicle. I still have a 30 year old side decal and a NOS center cap for the lightning that I never needed. The center caps went from 33.00 to greater than 300.00. LMR made some reproductions for both the decals and the center caps. They were...
Fortunately itās mostly differences in paint and the Bronco label on the rear panels that differentiates it from a standard 2 door. If you plan on keeping it for a long time. My advice is to buy the special parts now while they are available and relatively cheap. Because of the low build...
My first driving lesson was a 55 Chevy with a three on the tree in a big field! I donāt think I ever wiped that smile off my face! I enjoy the Bronco much to the MT. Just wouldnāt be as fun for me in an automatic, but thatās just me.
You should catch some of the Trail Mater You Tube videoās. Rory is pretty good at technical rock crawling in Trail Mater despite being a manual.
Manual transmissions were all we had for 4 wheeling in the beginning. I will agree it is definitely easier with an automatic but when you are old...
Mine is 9ā8ā and works although I chose to put the support structure in the garage attic to improve the height. The new version uses a webbing strap rather than wire rope so you might gain some lift height with that as well.
I would recommend the Lange Hoist a top. I built the support structure in the attic rather than below. I like I can store the front panels on the roof as well when up on the hoist.
