  1. Someone please tell my why?

It's not identified as a recall, I checked. I did provide the NHTSA with all the information to initiate an investigation, if warranted by additional complaints.
  2. Someone please tell my why?

I was told "sometimes you just get a bad cat" and they told me it might have been dropped during production. You provide some good info though, because still trying to understand the mechanics of what is going on and it's entirely too complicated for me to comprehend. Also, I am using the...
  3. Someone please tell my why?

I understand the importance of global commerce, but a company shouldn't tout the "Made in the USA" yet rely so heavily on products manufactured OUTSIDE of the country. Blue collar jobs have lost their appeal with the younger generation, but we could bring more jobs back to our country if our...
  4. Someone please tell my why?

Cat failure a 6K probably means there is a root problem with the engine. Just a guess.
  5. Someone please tell my why?

It's tempting, but I think Ford needs to take it back. Sudden engine failure can be pretty dangerous and I'd feel terrible if someone else had to deal with this.
  6. Someone please tell my why?

    Pavement princess/catalytic converter 1st, cam phaser 2nd.
  7. Someone please tell my why?

I've been cleared of any wrong doing. This was not a contaminated gas issues. Since I'm not a mechanic, I don't know how cam phaser or connector pin could possibly lead to oil in the fuel tank. I'm at a loss with what they claim, but apparently it makes sense to them now and its under warranty.
  8. Someone please tell my why?

Just got a call yesterday that the issue is a cam phase and a pin connector. I'm not a mechanic, but I waited a year and a half for my order and was waiting forever for the "in production" email. My truck was in production for three months and I had to call to see why it wasn't moving. They...
  9. Someone please tell my why?

My state requires 3 attempts with a final notice certified mailed. It also states something like 30 days out of service except for instances outside of the company's control. I've had my truck for 16 days since January 24th, but first part was on backorder. Second engine failure was 3 weeks...
  10. Someone please tell my why?

I have had my Bronco for eight months and as I'm dealing with another engine failure, some serious management issues come into question. Do Ford dealers have a central database where vehicle repairs are documented so that another dealer can access these records? Also, why do service centers...
  11. Dealer claims diesel gas was in fuel tank

That some pretty good insight and thanks for sharing. I have never had any issues like this until I bought my Bronco. It had under 6K when the first engine failure occurred (when the cat was replaced) and a second failure at 7K when they claimed it was diesel/contaminated gas. The only...
  12. Dealer claims diesel gas was in fuel tank

I am very skeptical as this point. The service rep said the tech smelled diesel in the tank, which would question how we even got 40 miles down the road. I have been reading up on fuel pump failures and how it's not good to "drive on fumes" before refilling. We put a FULL tank of this gas in...
  13. Dealer claims diesel gas was in fuel tank

No, the dealer didn't explain any findings and I'm having a hard time getting a response. I know they are 3 months behind in service repairs and can imagine they were not too happy to deal with our issue as a priority (not from our request). Correct, new cat and not new engine. The engine...
  14. Dealer claims diesel gas was in fuel tank

The gas station is only 5 miles down the road from the dealer we had it towed to and we actually went back to the gas station to speak with the manager and get a screen shot of all the info we needed to show it was in fact unleaded and that diesel wasn't even an option at the pump. The service...
  15. Dealer claims diesel gas was in fuel tank

We were traveling out of state on vacation when our 2023 OBX (2.7L) engine suddenly died. We had just gotten the truck back from our local Ford dealer for engine failure three weeks prior (failed catalytic converter), so we hoped the issue had been resolved. We were 6 hours away from home, so...
