  1. Door handle release screw problem [solved]

Out of curiosity, I haven't had to deal with a door handle on a Bronco at work yet. That looks an awful lot like the ones that you typically only turn a few times to loosen and release the handle instead of completely removing it on most vehicles. Was that this screw?
  2. From Wrangler to Bronco

Working as a Ford Tech I've driven a few MT Broncos and all I can is that the difference between that and the JL is night and day. The Bronco MT feels so much better. Since posting this I pretty much made up mind, next summer is my target for a Bronco. Still aiming for a MT Base Sas. I need to...
  3. Changing those 2.7 Ecoboost spark plugs

60k isnt really a bad mark to change them. Its more preventive maintenance at that point. Figure this, if you dont do alot of miles yearly it could be upwards 10 years before you, or most for that matter, would be changing them. At that point your looking at boots oxidized to the plugs, dry...
  4. Cannot get this off. Any suggestions welcomed

This is not a serious suggestion is it? Why? Please explain what you think the outcome would be?
  5. Did I make the wrong choice by buying a Ford?

Its an attitude we encounter often, us techs less so. The way I've seen our advisors talked to makes my blood boil. Good will and understanding is a two way street. Some people just have a me first and my way attitude. Its not an attitude, its how it is. A harsh reality. We drive the same...
  6. Did I make the wrong choice by buying a Ford?

Im a Ford tech and kind of baffled here. How much is it gonna cost you to get the stem fixed? Gotta be cheaper than trading at a loss. As far as not being able to schedule an appointment? Places get busy, this happens everywhere no matter the business. I dont know if this is entitlement or what...
  7. From Wrangler to Bronco

Is that all stuff you've experienced yourself? I really can't Imagine bouncing to Jeep in hopes of long term reliability. If you do, make sure you check all the fuses and relays, I had some not fully seated from the factory. Be prepared for the dealer to ignore dead misfire, blinking mil...
  8. Recall 25S01 - Rear Shock Absorber External Reservoir Corrosion *🚨Repair now available*

Lol, that stuff is no joke. Ive had to use a four foot pry bar to break loose some oil pans and front covers held on by that stuff.
  9. Recall 25S01 - Rear Shock Absorber External Reservoir Corrosion *🚨Repair now available*

You joke, but some of our technical instructions for recalls involve tape and zipties... Im gonna have to look this one, I wonder what they have us doing and more so... how little theyre paying us to do it.
  10. My First Rubber Duck?

Yeah, I give the ducks from Jeep to my kid.
  11. From Wrangler to Bronco

So, the verdict is in. They drove it 5 miles, couldn't duplicate it and the service advisor completely wiffed on having a tech check anything out in regards to the throw out bearing noise despite multiple reminders to add it to the ticket. Im not even sure I mentioned that in the opening post...
  12. From Wrangler to Bronco

Yeah, I was going to last year after I go it, but never got around to it. It'll happen this year if I keep it. I got rid of a 2001 Durango that had been in the family since new just before getting the wrangler because of rust. Body was near immaculate outside of the rockers, interior immaculate...
  13. From Wrangler to Bronco

Yeah, my first thought was that they didnt look at it today. We'll see what they feed me tomorrow. If its the same thing I'm walking in there and asking them to show me nothing is stored in history. At a minimum I need it running good to trade.
  14. Dealer Service Blew It - As Usual

Man dealers like this make us all look bad. Mistakes happen, but that attitude from an advisor would have them written up while being yelled at. They check that we used full syn when its stated. AND rotating tires when requested not to? How do they know it wasn't just done? That was a hungry...
  15. From Wrangler to Bronco

Update time: They called about the jeep today. Advisor said they can't duplicate it. So naturally I asked what codes were stored. Now keep in mind I had full a on check engine light blinking, loss of power, and could feel it running like it was dead missing on multiple cylinders. The advisor...
