My '21 had the same issue, during the warranty period, but my Quicklane didn't check the fluid (apparently) and tell me it would have been a warranty issue until it expired. I've not been able to justify $500 to repair it.
I was wondering about this too. I plugged in some Christmas lights to mine, and it usually shuts off after awhile…works again after restarting the car.
Yes, the welds are better than that on mine. Not sure...that might have been the prototype that you have screenshotted.
Coming from the soft top, its lots quieter. I don't have a reference from the MIC, but I think they measured 20dB quieter than MIC.
