Has anyone from the Houston area been able to find a dealer willing to deal on price? I have talked to around five and the best offer I have been able to get is MSRP + lifetime powertrain warranty. Is there anything better to be found in the area?

Unsure who you spoke with. My original order was with Jorge at Tomball Ford. We never discussed pricing; they were not going to match the Texas Buyers Group offer.

I talked with Legacy, AutoNation Katy, Doggett, Destination and Big Star so far. They all said they would not or could not go below MSRP at this time. A couple even said they didn't see how anyone could offer invoice or below without knowing what Ford is going to offer.

I was told by Tommie Vaughn Ford that the demand is so high that Ford has decided not to offer the x-plan and the dealership doesn't have the authority to override. But they are selling them at MSRP with no markups or dealer adds.

I am in discussions with Mak Haik and their current proposal is: "We will honor X-plan pricing less any available rebates plus TT&L and fees on the Bronco." They have yet to commit to a price. MSPR and X-plan can change so I will not buy from them until they provide a price in writing. I have provided them the out of state prices of $1000 below invoice and 3% below invoice.

I was originally with McRee Ford and they offered $1000 below MSRP. I changed my order to one of the other advertisers on here where it was $1,000 below invoice. I was told I was allocation #11 of 40 for MY21

For an out of state purchase, do you have to pay the vehicle sales tax in the state of purchase (Louisiana 4%) and the Texas vehicle sales tax (6.25%) when registering the vehicle in Texas? The Texas DMV website reads that a vehicle purchased outside of Texas must pass inspection and then upon registering it in Texas, you must pay: Registration Fee ($50.75), Title Application ($33), Inspection Fee ($30.75), Local County Fee ($31.50), 6.25% vehicle sales tax, $5.75 other (https://www.txdmv.gov/motorists/buying-or-selling-a-vehicle/out-of-state-and-foreign-vehicles). For a $60K vehicle, this totals $3900 Texas fees.

@Don A From what I have read you only have to pay the tax in the state that it is registered in. You may have to pay the dealer fees in the other state but not the tax. Some dealers are offering to add the tax and fees into the financing price and then cut you a check so you have the money to pay the taxes and fees when you register it.

Did anyone ever find a deal Gullo wouldn't budge off MSRP.....I have an ordered there and I placed a second order at Chapman Ford in PA for the 3% off invoice. I also didn't make the cut on Gullo first 13 order build dates, with a 7/15 reservation.

I do not believe any of the Houston area dealers matched or came close to the Bob Utter Ford deal.
