Beware of distracted snowbirds. One just got my 2024 2door badlands Sasquatch. Thankfully she's insured. Have to wait till tomorrow for insurance to look at it. Fingers crossed.

I'd turn it over to my insurance company under my collision policy. AZ is funny. Her insurance company can dictate which body shop you use. They'll give you a choice of their approved shops. Said shops cater to insurance companies. If you use your collision policy you can pick any body shop you want. Let your company go after her company. You'll have to pay your deductable up front, but will get it back once your company and her company settle. I know this because I went through this dance a few years ago.

I keep collision insurance on a 22 year old Subaru WRX Wagon for just that reason.

Getting a lawyer involved only makes sense if you have severe personal injury or don't have collision insurance. But there's a reason lawyers can afford to run all the ads they do. Unless you have damages severe enough for them to take your case on a contingency fee basis you'll have to pay them up front.

@CalvinT thankfully neither party was injured, no airbags gone off. She stated in front of Mesa PD it was her fault and she refused medical
Yeah, I have full coverage, and State Farms app had a list of "approved shops" ( if anyone knows of a good shop mesa/AJ area) happend while trying to turn right onto the 202 from power rd. Had hoped to pay it off before I put my 1st dent into her

Arizona law allows you to select any shop if you're going through your insurance company. But if you're going through her company you have to use one of the shops they list or take a check.

I found a good shop near me. It's owned by a "car guy" who happens to run a body shop. He offers a lifetime warranty on all their work. He has a sign posted that says, "We're not affiliated with any insurance company. You're our customer, not them." Unfortunately for you he's in Central Phoenix.

Found a shop. Should have a quote by Wednesday. Other driver was found at fault so her insurance will be covering all expenses, plus my rental car. Hope they fix it, and not total it out. Spent too much on aftermarket parts, and only 25k on the odometer. Fingers crossed

@Reich480 - hey bud, you probably know this already...please don't forget about your DIMINISHED VALUE CLAIM. I used a DVC adjuster in Chandler that was fantastic. You have very few miles on a new rig and deserve that friggin nugget.

Ty, I was looking into that DVC today actually. Was told I'd get an estimate on repairs by Wednesday, but with Thanksgiving and all, will have to hope for Monday. Bronco has 25211 miles on it. If they total it out, I have afew others picked out, but honestly just want mine fixed

The DVC adjuster will want the car to be all fixed first. Then they will look at your parts list/repair list, then inspect/photo your Bronc before providing your report. It is a separate payment from your medical and vehicle repair.
