Another Post.....

So I have twin 4 year olds....my wife has a LR Evoque with pretty limited cargo space & its a lease, we wanted to make the bronco our main driver....I want to maximize what I can get.....I'm trying to convince myself I can do the two door and just put a couple of cheap booster seats in the back....my only worry is cargo space is extremely limited at 2 ft deep and 4 ft wide (get 38% more space on 4 dr)....I priced it out....

Sasquatchers...
BD 2 Door with Mid Package, 2.7L, Floor Liner, & Sasquatch Package - $46385
BD 4 Door with Mid Package, 2.7L, Floor Liner, Hardtop & Sasquatch Package -$49575

1) Do you think 2 Door is a truly realistic option for having a couple of kids around every now and then?
2) I have never really packed anything on top of a vehicle (like ever), if i went with a route for a roof rack and one of the cargo options on top....how easy is that stuff to take on/off on a whim and which one do ya'll prefer?

PS....I keep thinking the 2 door looks much cooler and cost saving is nice....but my post is for the questions above ^^^

Use a hitch cargo carrier. Easier than dealing with loading and unloading items on the roof.

I have a nine and five year old. The 5y/o still has trouble buckling herself in. Contorting my body to help her buckle isn't fun and when she gets a hang of buckling herself she'll likely want a doors- off experience too.

@FstFrd00 One of them can already buckle themselves and the other one is working on it.

A hitch basket is definitely better than roof mounted anything, but man, no way I'd get a 2 door with 2 kids.

Kids are expensive, and they consume valuable storage space. My vote, sell the kids and buy the two door. If that's not a possibility, sometimes the wife gets attached to those little money monsters, I would say go with the BD 4 Door with Mid Package, 2.7L, Floor Liner, Hardtop & Sasquatch Package for $49575. I don't have kids and you'd still be coming in $6k lower than my 2 door build.

I have considered something similar myself...my plan to mitigate the need for extra cargo on trips is to buy a small trailer. About $1500. You will never know it is back there. I just wish that this thing had a larger towing capacity, because I would love to pull my car hauler flat bed back there, but oh well.
