Greetings No.Tx., have recently moved to Austin from Brownsville, on the border and by the sea. Looking for like minded Bronco peeps. Am also a biker (motorized). Have a '24 Badlands Sasquatch I am starting to outfit for more off-road and any suggestions would be helpful. Looking forward to meeting up one day. Hi yo Silver, awaaay!

Welcome, if you’re outfitting for more off-roading, the first thing I’d do is get skid plates under your Bronco. I don’t recall what the badlands comes with. Engine, transmission, transfer case and rear lower shock is where I’d start. Lots of options out there. I went RCI for the big ones and DV8 for the rear shocks. If you have a V6 I’d do the RCI crossmember skids too. They sit low and are easy to chew up.

@Ft. Worth Rob Badlands comes with all skid plates except the trans, which isn't necessarily a high priority. If he's in Austin, will probably be doing Hidden Falls mostly and I don't know a trans plate is needed there. Rear shock skids probably not a bad idea, though; I'd look at the Barnes 4x4 ones, which are inexpensive but work well. Another thing is to consider some removable mud flaps (so you can remove when off roading), the rocker panel will get beat up by the gravel roads around there with the stock Sas Goodyears. Another option is to replace the trail armor rock rails with ones that protect the side (best case), but the Trail Armor aren't bad and maybe some IAG full steps would also help with the rocks.
