We’re all prepping for a Merry Christmas is my prayer to all of you. After the holiday, thinking of a last trail ride of 2024 either next Friday, Dec 27 or Sunday Dec 29. Any can join and Sasquatch not required. Don’t want to get in the way of any NFL watching, so if anyone is around and down to roll, let me know. Looking at the Rock Creek area, then over to the John Dick trail network including John Dick Creek Road. Forest Road 69C is in this area as well and is a fun loop at elevation. This is Morganton, GA basically. Another name for this road is Lower Frozen Branch Road. Total about 20 off road miles give or take a few, so the day will start at 9:30 and likely on trails until around 1:00pm with time to be home well before nightfall. Hope some of you will be around and can join. No rock crawling with this one, but as always, more fun if wet. Cheers and Happy Holidays!

Hope everyone has enjoyed the holidays. I’d look forward to hitting the trails if there’s a ride on the 29th.

Not today, looking at Sunday. @JF Bronc looks to be down, so if you’re in, so far that makes 3. These trails are similar to the other week, but longer and there’s an optional that should be some fun, as it should be wet.

Need to find some time today to run out and find a portable sit town toilet for my daughter, assuming I can accomplish that my daughter and I are down. Is there a specific address you can point me to in order to meet up? I can message you later today to confirm @MadMan4BamaNATL

@TheI3lindMan Will post that up in a few hours. Good place to try for toilet would be REI, but maybe even Walmart camping section. Bass Pro Shop or Academy as well.

For tomorrow’s ride, we’ll again meet up at Nimblewill Church at 10:00am. If they are having a service, we will move to the national forest area parking lot which is just down the street to the left of the church and just pass the entrance to Forest Service Road 28-1, which is where we’ll enter just as a couple of weeks ago. We’ll do the route I described above with the optional loop. This ride will be a bit longer than the last, so more like 25 off-road miles give or take a few. Anticipate roughly 4 hours and should be fun since it’ll be somewhat wet. Anyone feeling the itch is welcome to meet up with us and you can DM me as well if any questions or concerns. I’ll have recovery gear and my tire repair kit. I’d layer up a bit and as little cotton as possible to avoid cold and wet and may be a little muddy. Any Bronco can run these trails, maybe even a Sport; yep!

I'm gonna miss but y'all have fun. I may make it out to the new years ride if those Texas tickets don't get any cheaper than they all ready are.

Guys, I’m just waking up and think we should cancel. there is a tornado watch for some of North Georgia that we have to drive through. An abundance of caution, but this storm must be bad North of Atlanta. Watch is until 9am.

@MadMan4BamaNATL tons of rain in Canton overnight so I'd imagine decent likely hood of down trees if it was similar north of here.

@Rspayde Yep, the thought of trees down and perhaps breezy conditions just felt risky. Now I’m bored today, but will start on my rock rail install that I’ve put off for 6 months. Ahh, who am I kidding, I won’t start that until tomorrow, lol!
