I got my first Bronco a couple weeks ago (bare with me as I immerse myself in this new language)... a '22 BL 4d HT, running 33s. Did I forget an important detail in my stats? Anyway, the first thing I have to say is that I am fantastically in love with it, particularly so after taking it to the ranch this past weekend. Nothing major, just Central Texas hills and valleys. It handled like a dream. That being said, I do want to make it mine. I know that the world is an oyster when it comes to mods for our ponies, and frankly, it is a bit overwhelming to know exactly where to start (since I do have a limiting wallet). I've been reading through so many threads and blogs that I've probably scrambled my brain, but I think I've decided where is best for me at this time and thought it wise to ask the experts, aka Fellow BL Owners, for some guidance.
As far as BLs go, what is most popular/effective for paint protection against scratches and rocks being thrown up when out in the elements? Do y'all find that the films get it done? Are mudflaps handy or something else more sturdy or effective? Also, what is up with the sound system?!? I mean, I know I didn't buy it for that, but sheesh... it's so...flat. So that's where I'm starting... paint protection and improving sound (on a budget). After those two, I guess it's time to look into air intakes and exhaust systems, then to personalize with splashes of color with some graphics. Is it just me, or is it WAYYYY to easy to become addicted and need EVERYTHING to have the bronco logo/horse on it???
Experiences, Thoughts and Opinions are very much appreciated. Pics too!!!

Well now there's a tall order!!!
I been upgrading/personalizing my truck since the day I bought it.
It is easy to go broke doing that! Things are not as bad as they were a year ago...there were quite a few companies...FORD INCLUDED, who were trying to become billionaires off of the Bronco brand. Case in point; I was looking at getting a sunshade for the rollbar, when I take the top off. Several vendors had them for $300-$500. I found one which works very well for $50 on Amazon. Yes, built in Guangzhou, probably in the same factory as the $500 units.
My advice is to do your research; there is lots of good info on here.
Oh yeah; where you at in TX?
I'm in Canyon Lake.

@Sparkherd Thanks! Yes, I'm wanting to add a sunshade to my "need" list as well, just can't decide on design yet ;-) We love Canyon Lake! I'm in San Antonio, but spend a lot of time with family in New Braunfels/Canyon Lake area

@Sparkherd The same is true with TEMU. I bought a cargo attic for the inside cabin. It was $15 vs. $200!

Take your time, CelticCactus. Get out in the boonies, preferably with a Bronco club, or even an all-makes 4x4 group so you can get to know your horse better, and have support for any mishaps you suffer. Bronco group runs let you check out other guys' trucks and gear, and learn from them. Start with the Bronco OffRoadeo, a day of instruction which comes with your purchase. Then you can start considering how you want to trim your Bronco: camping (primitive or comfort camping? Roof top tent?), off-road performance (winch? recovery gear? Lift + bigger tires)? Or about-town street charm and highway savvy?
Be sure to familiarize yourself with the Member Marketplace, further down discussion topics, where you can pick up gear and accessories other owners don't want. And check out thebronconation.com. Threads there tend to be less technical, but if you join you can get some products discounted from participating vendors. Ask for veterans/seniors/first responders discounts if you qualify.
Take your time, and avoid gimmick things like lighted cupholders. This can be an awfully expensive hobby! I think my Badlands Sas is the most expensive non-real-estate thing I've ever owned.

@SeptuagenarianSasquatch that's the best advice. THANK YOU. I plan on going to the OffRodeo here in Texas in the spring and can't wait! I'm searching for a club in central Texas but haven't really found one that has much going on. And yes, I do see this becoming a wonderfully expensive hobby ;-)

Congrats! Welcome to the club. I love my Carbon Gray BL 4D HT 2.7 SAS with LUX and WO floors. Oops! I couldn't fit the HD Mod Bumper in there. ;)
