Bronco Gals

Fine adventurous ladies (and that includes soccer moms!)

Thought I'd introduce myself and post my Bronco build! I'm Susan and I'm sixty (60!!!!) and I live in Colorado. I have two grown boys - one is a college professor and the other is a social media writer for a well-known theme park in LA and Florida. I'm a writer too, an author and a ghostwriter. I also write a column for the local newspaper.

My guidebooks take me all over Colorado so my Bronco will be heading into the backcountry pretty regularly to get me where I need to go for research. I'm typing with a broken arm right now, after getting hit with a rock on the Venable-Comanche Loop over Phantom Canyon and knocked 18' off the trail a few weeks ago. Had to hike 3,660 feet down and six miles out, but the arm's healing and I'm still writing like crazy! Note to self: Do not break your arm during a pandemic. Those medical people are REALLY busy!

At my age, this is probably the last new vehicle I'll ever buy so I wanted it to have everything I need without going over my budget. I don't care about heated seating or any of that stuff - this will be a working rig.

Here's my beautiful Base. Can't wait to finally put that order in. Can't wait to see it and take it for a spin :)

2 Door Base/Antimatter Blue
2.7L EcoBoost/Automatic
Sasquatch Package
MIC Top/Sound Deadening Headliner/Roof Rails/Crossbars

Ouch! Glad to hear you're healing well. I would get a base if I didn't want lane keeping assist from the Mid and Additional sound deadening from the High. Those two options are like a $8-9k difference. Your bronco is gonna be badass

Welcome and sorry about the arm! I have to admit (& I live in the south) I do enjoy heated seats when it is cold but down here I also have cooled seats too! My ins company gives discounts w/lane assists and I can always turn it off. I'm going w/BD, 2 door, Race Red, mid pkg, and few extras but not the sasquatch. I really don't need it.

You both brought up lane assist and I'm wondering about the difference between Ford Co-Pilot Technology, which is included in most or all trims, and the Ford Co-Pilot Package, which is an upgrade. I haven't seen the differences published or discussed anywhere, but it's something I need to look into.

And it goes without saying that I won't ask in the open forum because too many guys will want to tell me how stupid I am for wanting it. Hahahahaha!

I understand! (I grew up with only brothers) My son last spring traded his 2014 Honda CRV in for a 2020 Subaru Crosstrek and his ins went down due to the "safety" package on his new vehicle. I am "assuming" that will be the case with the Bronco and I may be very wrong!

Ah man! I like the antimatter. I’m still mildly undecided.
