Starting the conversation for past, present and future SoCal Bronco owners. Lets go!

good morning folks,

it's about time for an oil change & looking for any recommendations you might have for a dealership. I've seen the conversations of doing it yourself vs getting it done at a local dealership for the track record in case anything were to happen. I'm in redlands, but I'm willing to drive out if it means getting it done right. had my fair share of people within the service department that really don't care and it shows.

I’m 63 years old and have done the last 4 oil changes in my new bronco, it is very easy. As far as the track record there is a way in the bronco app to log your own oil changes and it stays with your bronco in record with ford. Just use good oil and filter you should be fine.

oh nice, didn’t know the ford app had that future. just saved me a trip to the dealership, thanks!

I’d recommend finding a good shop with loyal reviews and go there. No sense going to the dealership and imo it’s going to take my longer to do it myself. I had a shop I would go to in hawthorn and they were always super helpful. Pointed out a leak in my transfer case which I then took to ford to fix.

Ken Grody Ford service guys always do a good job on my sons Raptor, my Braptor and his Mustang.

I am in Redlands I have been going to Gregs Garage with all my cars, well all the Fords, he won't work on my BMWs. Took a while for me to find a person I trust with the cars after I moved here and I am happy to find Greg. Did drivetrain fluids in the Bronco when I first got it. Mention it seemed a little low and stayed open until I was able to get back from OC with another liter of Motul since he didn't want me driving the truck home and back to the shop like that. He goes through autoownerssite which keeps track of all the service records online

@dametime if you go there he lets you bring your own parts. I hardly do any work on my cars anymore.

Wanted to add if you really want a dealer. I only like Chino Hills or Hemborg in Norco.

While I am not a fan of the Fritts Ford sales team, their service desk (Terry specifically) has been wonderful. Normally I do my own work, but had them do an oil change and used my For Pass points to cover it. They had to do a warranty repair on some plastics, so I had them do it at the same time.

just curious, what plastic repair did you get done? the edges on my front dash look like it’s already peeling

The rear wiper motor cover was smashed on and broken and the driver's side roof lever cover, same deal. These were just replacement pieces, not fixes. That sucks that the dash is peeling. I would assume that a replacement is in order.
