With the Trail App finally released (still a little buggy, but promising), there are some ”get your feet wet on off-roading” sites in North Georgia that are listed as easy that any of us can do. Even those trails listed as moderate don’t seem to be that bad, and the difficult trails are technical, but doable with 33s or 35s, since a few are known, but for now, let’s focus on easy and moderate.
Think with some basic recovery gear (shackles, straps, shovel, or traction boards), anyone reading this could give a few of these a go. Easy are just some dirt roads; sure, but they’re in a beautiful area and gives the opportunity to meet up and have some fun outdoors. Nothing ever wrong with an overnight camp either at some point.
Between more meet ups as @MyATV proposed and the trial app showing public accessible trails (I assume), we can pull things together with minimal planning. For those who have not yet done so, a GMRS radio license is only like $35 now for 10 years and even cheap handheld radios should be enough for fun on these trials where we can hear each other.
Please share any thoughts, concerns, or suggestions to testing out the Trial App?
