Roll Call For the April 15 (and maybe 16, 17?) Ma Bell Trail Run!
Time to plan specifics. The Ma Bell (named for a phone pole line) is about a 1-mile #4, maybe #5 trail, not road in Northampton, Mass. I've done it twice, fairly easily, in a Badlands Sas without airing down. The more difficult obstacles have work-arounds. Check the various videos on other threads (or Google them) for your own assessment, but it is regarded as "stock accessible" if you have a good drivetrain, some experience, off-road tires, and a spotter. I'm limiting participation to 15 trucks per run. It's not very long, and it is tight in a few places, which makes Patriots Day Weekend (a legal holiday in Massachusetts and Maine) an ideal time.
The plan: To meet at a convenience store two miles away, get organized, and air down. Unless somebody with experience at organizing group drives comes forward, I'll assign order, interspersing experienced and more capable rigs with those for whom this may be a challenge.
We'll meet at 10:00 AM Saturday 15 April, and if there's more interest, another group 16 April. There's always Patriots Day on Monday 17 April if the numbers are there. Bring a lunch! We should have everybody at the top in 2 hours, time to eat and meet, and get down by mid-afternoon. Maybe find a restaurant for supper.
I'm sending out a mass-message for signups, to as many New England Bronco members as I can identify. If you don't get it, answer by posting on this thread, and I'll include you in the message circular, where you can provide your contact info with some privacy. I'll want to know if you're interested in Sunday or Monday, whether you have some trail experience, and your Bronco trim.
