Just an update on the upcoming Tumey Hills run this Saturday - it's still ON! The weather looks to be decent, but the trail may be a bit muddy/slippery - but that won't stop our Broncos, will it?! BTW, if you have non-Bronco 4x4 friends who'd like to tag along, they're welcomed to!
As planned, we'll complete the loop trail (hopefully) at a safe pace, more for enjoyment of the surroundings than testing of our rigs, after which we will head to Los Banos for a BBQ lunch. Bring money, 'cause neither I nor Rob Anthony is treating this time!
We are meeting at Casa de Fruta, just outside of Gilroy, at 9 AM. Be on time, or gimme a heads-up somehow; I'll be checking my phone to read possible last-minute messages on FB or 6G. PM me if you'd like my cell number.
Bring a radio (GMRS/FRS/Ham), and whatever recovery gear you've got (ensure that your recovery points are serviceable). Crucially, have the ability to air down (and hopefully "up" - if not, I can air you back up). My recommended trail pressure is 15 psi - you won't pop a bead at that pressure, and you'll need the added grip if the terrain is muddy.
Let's have some fun!
