Santiago Peak is forecast to get over 1 foot of snow this weekend. It will probably change, it already did, it went down from 7" to 10" down to 4" to 8" on Friday, but from Wed night thru Friday it's currently showing (totaling up the days and nights) 12" to 24"... On Saddleback Mountain!

I'd like to go up Santiago Rd as far up as possible on Sat or Sunday even. I wanted to install my rock lights before I mucked up the undercarriage; maybe I can pull off installing them on Friday.

I'm interested! Was going to try to go with the big group on Saturday for round 2 of one of the Bouquet reservoir trails but it's sounding like it may end up being cancelled because of the weather.

vancomycin, I just checked forecast, looks like it's going to be snowing for a week and we probably wouldn't get far, if the gates were open. I lived in Arrowbear before coming down 2 years ago and these are the type of conditions that cause all the "flatlanders" with their families to come up to see the snow, unprepared. Unaware of just how dangerous it gets and the mountain becomes a giant cluster fuck from one end to the other with cars off the road, blocking the road and snow players parking in the road... and trespassing on private property.

Oh well gives me more time to heal up from my shoulder surgeries and to get some wiring done under the truck before I muck it up. I need to install my rock lights.

I can't follow how this thread works, is you question about the train for me or broncojoerg?

I got mine Friday night, it's the photo is on pg41 of build week 1/23 thread, a member snapped a shot of it still on the transport.

@Arrowbear Rider - thanks for the info, and yes, excited you got your Bronco off the train! Sounds like a plan to forgo this weekend given weather and get back in action when things clear up!

@Arrowbear Rider @BroncoJoerg I just spoke to the rangers for Saddleback and confirmed those roads are already closed and anticipated to open 3-5 days after the rains go thru. Pretty cool to know that you can just call and ask!

I'm down for Sunday, but it is likely closed!

Might head up to Redlands or something to get the tires on some snow. Anyone interested?
