What's up everyone. Just found this group on here. I have a 7/16 reservation and recently moved it to Stephens in WV. Located in South Central, right outside Carlisle. How sweet would it be to have the new ride by Ford Nationals in Carlisle next year!! I'll be there either way but would love to have it in time to show it off a little bit.

Welcome. I'm probably moving my 7/14 reservation there as well.

Welcome to the group! @Bernatos and @Jamyers77 if you don't mind me asking, what was your reasoning for moving/ probably moving your reservations to Stephens? As a dealer employee and reservation holder I have been lucky enough to hear information before the average consumer. Given what I know even if you are saving $1000-2000 on a Bronco It's not worth it in my opinion. There is a very good reason why there are only two dealers on this forum offering deals, and none of the larger/high volume stores are doing it. I am not asking you guys to move your reservations to my store and this is purely so I can get a better understanding of why someone would switch given the information that is out there. At the end of the day I want all of us to get our Broncos in a timely fashion. Thanks in advance!

@Bernatos There is definitely some truth to your statement and I certainly hope this is a win/win for customer and dealers alike. Of course the dealer can make up for lost profit by selling accessories or aftermarket warranties, but with that comes a whole different issue of supply. If you order your Bronco with a roof rack for example which is a dealer installed accessory and that part of on back-order will you really drive to the dealer who is hundreds of miles away and pick it up? Of course, they can ship you the part and install it, but how many customers would be willing to do that? The ADM point is a valid one, but dealers will not see stock units for over 2 years (per Ford) and that is an awful long time to take loses especially for a small dealer. My concern with these deals is that none of the larger (high volume) dealers have matched Granger or Stephens. If their deals made financial sense you would see dealers all over offering to match or beat that deal. Granger and Stephens have surely made a name for themselves on this forum by offering amazing deals, but when a Ford Rep tells us that he can't understand why or how they are offering this deal I start to question its legitimacy.

I don't mean to come across as pessimistic, but I have seen my fair share of amazing deals, and they usually have a caveat whether that be hidden fees (which I don't suspect) or in this case an extended wait for your vehicle. I would appreciate if you can post about your Stephens experience moving forward so that we can follow your Bronco from reservation to delivery.

@aj_benedetto i certainly will update based on my experience. I also think that the reward is bigger for a smaller dealer, especially if they want to corner a market and become known as a premiere bronco dealer or something like that. I can see both sides of the argument, a large volume dealer already has a solid base in business. I could go on for hours with speculation and my own thought processes.

@Bernatos I am sure we will all appreciate the updates. Thanks for chatting with me!

Basically what Bernatos said. Plus they've published what all fees will be. No surprises come time for pen to paper. I will say Lenardtown (iirc) is doing 3% off MSRP and add-ons (again iirc) AND will ship to you driveway which may work out better depending on upgrades/etc

Interesting points. I have observed the threads on Granger and Stephens and admit not fully appreciating the allocation concepts wondered why no one seemed willing to even approach those deals. There is another thread on the site about a group purchase for the mid-Atlantic area and Bergey Ford (which fortunately for me is close to me in the Phila area) has committed to MSRP - $500. While not as good as the others the costs of travel and time (and other risks) associated with using a dealer in WV or Iowa aren’t worth the difference to me. I am currently with another local dealer who I will try to get to match Bergey’s offer for me. Good luck.

@PecOBX MSRP -$500 certainly is (in my eyes) a much more reasonable deal. I have spoken about this at length with our owner and the sticking point is that we don't full know the price of these vehicles. We can estimate what the dealer holdback will be, but we won't have a solid idea until Ford releases pricing tonight. I think that buying in your state from a logistics standpoint makes the most sense to me. I wish you the best of luck with your local dealer, if you have any questions please feel free to ask me.

Thanks for the insights
