Wondering who else besides myself will be going out of Florida to Granger or Stephens?

I won’t. While it’s a great deal, you have to figure in costs associated (i.e. Travel, hotel, gas, time off work or shipping, etc). While I would love a vacation and drive, I’d rather spend that money to plan a trip with my new Bronco someplace other than bringing it home.

@Andy6GRealG Still trying to figure why Granger or Sewell would be better than Stephens.

@King_Bronco0327 Stephens is so much closer to Florida and they are priced exactly like Granger, and I doubt they sell more trucks or SUV’s than the mountainous area like WV. I think we’ll be better off than Granger or Sewell.

@Andy6GRealG you definitely have a point on the distance from fl. And though the pricing is the same, I don’t get why it is. I guess I find it kind of skeptical that it is.

Haven't decided yet. Most likely Granger, or Stephens. Remotely Mullinax. About $1k to ship uncovered, and $1.4k to shipped covered from Granger to Naples. Haven't check shipping from Stephens. Point isn't to save a bunch of money on the purchase, but to support those dealers who support, and participate in the Bronco group.

The real value of the b6g will be dissemination of information about issues we will have with the Bronco. I used the Jeep forum to help figure out issues with the 2008 Rubicon I ordered, even after waiting a year hoping the bugs would be worked out (Jeep doesn't usually recognize, or work out the bugs in a timely manner). Such as the issues I had with the Jeep; click no start, gas tank overflow, death wobble etc. My 2020 Gladiator has a TSB bulletin (A TSB has been issued for improved steering for the JT Gladiator. TSB: tsb-08-074-20-pdf.356442.pdf).

Unfortunately, when my daughter took it in to Jeep to fix, they didn't fix it, claiming steering was ok. TSB says if the owner reports wander, then replace the steering box. It does not say if the dealer reports wander, they get to decide about replacing the steering box. But that is how it is with the Jeep dealer here. I will probably order a Gladiator, with Mojave package, in snazberry red, a new color and the first color I like. But it won't be from them.

Reserved two Broncos on 7/14, couldn't get thru on 7/13. Not sure which model to choose. I have difficulty getting in the Gladiator, which has a 3.5 inch lift on 37's. For that reason, I am not sure about getting the skunkape package (in South Florida, Sasquatch is called SkunkApe.

I'm still hoping some Florida dealer will play ball. Mullinax seems like the most reasonable, but they are still crytpic in how they have communicated. If there turns out to NOT be xplan, then Granger is by far the way to go. If there is xplan, with shipping it's kind of a wash, but it's a known entity. It's also my understanding that any of the accessories etc we add at the dealer still fall under the same discount with Granger, so beyond the base vehicle vs MSRP, those savings will add up more. If I fly and drive, it certainly saves money, depending on the world of Covid in 9-11 months maybe travel is easier to stomach and it will be an adventure.

If there becomes a pile of Granger buyers in here and they arrive at a similar time to Granger (7/14 early AM Rez) maybe we can have Granger coordinate a cheaper shipping option in bulk. I don't need it dropped at my front door I'm cool somewhere within a couple hours of Tampa Bay. 1st Bronco meet-up to get the new rigs!

Stephens would be cheaper to ship from by far since it’s like 8 to 12 hours closer. Granger is almost 20 hours away with tolls and 26 hours without them Stephens is 12 to 16 hours respectively. Literally it came down to distance just in case I changed my mind about picking up the Bronco versus shipping. 12 hours is a walk to pick up and that’s a fun drive to stop in a few states to hit up some beaches and some trails. Hell you could hit up the mountains in NC than swing to Myrtle Beach in SC. Than afterward head to Savannah for a good ole’ time in GA. If you have the time to do it that is...

Our two reservations are under my son's name. I tried for hours to reserve on reveal night 7/13, but unable. So my son was able to reserve them on 7/14. I don't think we will have the time to travel to Granger or Stephens to pick up, but I feel it is important to support those dealers who support the forum.

Stephens will arrange shipping according to their post. Would be fun to pick up and drive back to Naples, but time is the issue. I have been in Naples 16 years and my experience with the local dealers tells me buy elsewhere. Here in Naples, the dealers have mandatory dealer add-ons (ADM). I am fairly certain the Ford dealer will charge MSRP plus $800 ADM. And these dealers do not appear to show any interest in the Bronco forums (b6g, bronco nation). With special editions, or rare models, the dealers add on what is known as "market adjustment", like the Mopar dealer did when the hellfire challengers came out; I believe they marked up the price over MSRP $10k or more.

@Palerider Dont even get me started. Dealers are outdated and now just plain abusive. Im surprised there still isnt legal action against the whole institution of dealers. Its crazy to think that only three dealers in the whole nation is promising reasonable pricing.

Sure thing,
Since my wife is heading up with me, we will probably be heading to Richmond to see some of her friends, but our time will be spent somewhere around broad street. Typically some cool bars and restaurants are found here and it’s one of the oldest parts of the city. 200 year old brick roads so the Bronco will have fun as well. From there we will swing to the outer banks, to corolla and Duck which is above Nags head. You can drive on the beach and it’s the only way to get to any of the beach houses there since there are very few roads on that portion of the outer banks. I got to stop off in Wilmington since my pops lives close to there. You have Wrightsville beach, which is where you find a lot of the college students from UNCW. Either there or the Bog sound. Be careful you may fall in love with this area lol. From there it is about 1.5 hours to Myrtle Beach. Hit up riptidz bar and grill across from the yachtsman. It’s been around on Ocean Blvd. that’s the cruising spot of Myrtle Beach. You will be the main attraction in your new Bronco with the roof down and doors off. Than head to 95 and jump off when you see signs for Savannah. That will be the long part of the drive, but once you get to Savannah head to The Lady and Sons, which is Paula Deans restaurant. Good down home cooking I promise and the they don’t skip on using butter and other things that make southern food so tasty. At night head to BarrelHouse South, which I believe is on Congress St. which old Savannah. Live music and really cool scene at least it was before Covid. The next day it’s only 4.5 hours to Orlando so that will give you an idea of Some spots to hit up. If you go mountain side hit up Asheville in NC and do a brewscruise which stops at quite a few breweries in that area. Now you can basically walk to them since you trip over one about every 20 feet. It’s like Colorado but in the east coast. Cool vibe there as well. Some
Good trails in Boone NC but I’m not
The greatest going the west side of the states from there. Hope this helps.

In NC they spell it Bog with the O being an O sound at least I was always taught that lol since I’m from Wilson and buddy we are some sort of country there. If you want to try some Eastern Carolina BBQ go to Parker’s BBQ in Wilson. Been around since 1940 and has the same exact menu as it did than. Up until 8 years ago the man cooking the hogs and chicken was the same man from 1942. Mister June was one hell of a pit master. You will likely pass by Wilson if you take 264 to make it to the outer banks. If you stop great if not, that place will be here long after we are gone probably. Kind of an institution there. It’s places like these that make road trips so damn fun lol
