Has anyone had their Bronco checked for the rattling windows? Just took mine in to San Tan ford and they said it could take a week?! I should have opted for a rental car.

no. when they're rolled all the way up?? or you mean partially down and they rattle? i've had that happen off-road a bit but nothing when they're up.

Yeah, any amount of being rolled down and I get violent rattling when on any sort of bumpy road. There is an SSM (50711) out about it, so I took it in to get checked thinking it would be an easy and quick fix.

@Zero_chance ...gulp.. A/C issues? so far so good here but... i cannot not have aircon lol

@RynoRanger for sure, not Bronco specific or anything, but with 100 plus degrees every day, the biggest chunk of work that comes in is for AC, to the point where dealers were booking out weeks in advance, because they still have all their normal stuff that pops up too. Like you said, no one wants to have a lack of AC.

SSM 50711 - 2021-2022 Bronco - Window Rattle When Driving Over Bumps

Some 2021-2022 Bronco vehicles may exhibit a window rattle when driving over bumps with the windows placed in the partially down position. This may be due to incorrect window glass adjustment from the factory. To correct this condition, perform the Front/Rear Door Window Glass Adjustment procedure located in the Workshop Manual, Section 501-11 > Front doors > Steps 18-26, Rear Doors > Steps 21-25. It is not necessary to remove the door panel to perform this adjustment. During adjustment, set the window regulator nuts to their most outboard position (this will move the top of the window inboard), then reevaluate the noise. Be sure to place the window in the fully down position during adjustment.

Carry out all steps within 30 seconds of starting the sequence.

Fully open the window.

Lift and hold the window control until the window is fully closed. Keep the window control held for a two seconds

Press and hold the window control until the window is fully open. Keep the window control pressed for two seconds.

For the adjustment procedure, I wouldn’t bother bringing it to the dealer unless it was a same day or waiting appointment, myself. Fords service manuals can be “rented” online for I believe 3 days through Helm Inc.

@Zero_chance Yeah, I've done that procedure, didn't help. That procedure helps for when the windows stop moving down automatically when you open the doors, which fixed that issue. I took it in for them to do a manual adjustment and to set the regulator nuts, and whatever else they need to do, which they seemed to understand. The kicker is that I setup an appointment for 5 weeks out, so I guess the A/C issues take precedent, which absolutely makes sense. Although, this is the first time I've taken my car in to a dealer for work, so I'm unfamiliar with the process.

@jh3113 yessir, I was also referencing for the adjustment procedure, not the electrical window reset. I run my own shop, so I have a higher comfort level and access to tools though, so my perception on those types of things is likely skewed compared to most folks. Let us know if it eventually is addressed, good info to know!
