Hi - did Denton Creek route across the St. Helens connector and into the St. Helens route on Saturday morning (as far as Maple Valley Road). Had a great time - weather was great and traffic was light! I can see now the subtle differences in the two and why the St. Helens was graded a little tougher. Would recommend it for other noobs like me. Looking forward to joining the group for a ride soon.

How many of the St Helens loop did you do? We did the most West and North last time. Excited to explore a bit more. It’s definitely all a bit challenging with water or a few inches of snow!

Didn't make it as far as the loop(s). Bailed out on Maple Valley Road due to hunger and feeling like I had been punched in the kidney like a million times... the parts of St. Helens I was on had a LOT of washboard.

That’s a common complaint with St Helens. The SXS really make it rough. It looks like Camp Grayling is next up and July 9th is the day of the poll stays consistent. It may not be ash washboard there?

I would like to do a pre-run too, how far a trek is is for you? I start my annual migration to Tawas June 24th. Its about 1:15 or so for me to get there from the cabin, so maybe even an afternoon trip prior to the ride to try and get some sense of the trials.

I am in Fenton so I'm about 2:15 to Grayling. Little far for an afternoon trip, but I could maybe do a day trip on Friday July 1st to scope it out.
