Hey there folks. I'm totally new to off-roading. Got a 21 Wildtrak and planning a couple of days in Ouray, Colorado. Would someone offer some advice on the following questions?
1. Is Imogene Pass a good first trail to take?
2. Is it worth buying a air pump to deflate my tires?
3. Anything else I should consider?
All the best

If you've never done any trails you might want to try something a little easier. It's definitely doable for you but you're gonna be nervous the entire time. You don't need a pump for that trail and you really shouldn't need a pump in general with the wildtrack. If anything you need skid plates before the pump.

I've never done it either but Imogene Pass is rated as Difficult - for experienced drivers only. I just got back from Moab Off Rodeo and while these tucks are super capable, getting some experience on easier trails may be the best option. At the Rodeo they did have tires aired down to about 31 psi. Good luck either way and have fun!

Thanks for the advice. You watch videos, but I'm smart enough to know it doesn't tell the full story. I'll try some of the easier trails in the area.

@Bronco69 looks like there are some easier trails around it, you could do those and then hike/walk to the Difficult one and check it out before bringing the Bronco to it.

Probably a late reply but Imogene is not that difficult. We run it every year. Did it first with a stock FJ Cruiser and since have switched to a Rubicon while waiting on the (never to arrive) Bronco Raptor. Just a typical butt-puckerer in a couple of places. But last I knew there was a bridge they were working on so you could not go all the way between Ouray and Telluride. You can check with the local jeep rental places on any trails that may be closed. By now most all should be open.
