So when I was sitting in Naynay's office and dropped to a 2.3L from the 2.7L (then i got scheduled hah) i mentioned to her that when I drove the 2.3 at the mini off-road event in VA i felt no difference on the "butt dyno" than when I test drove the 2.7. I saw an article in one of the facebook groups of a tuning company that dyno'd the stock 2.7L and 2.3L and the results are REALLY interesting:

2.7L results = 251 RWHP and 322 RWTQ.
2.3L results = 247 RWHP and 304 RWTQ

Both were sasquatch (different wheels tho). Interesting to say the least. Makes me feel a little bit better dropping to the 2.3L to potentially get it sooner. Thought I would throw this out there if anyone is on the fence. I'll try to find the article and post it as reference. It has the dyno sheets in it.

Edit: Found it

Also want to point out i never tune my vehicles as I like having a warranty. This is just interesting for the dyno results.

I have no regrets ordering the 2.3. I have no need for more hp or torque. Less parts to fail is my main objective.

I traded in a 6cyl Frontier that was pushing out about 20hp less than the 2.3 I have in the Bronco. I'm completely satisfied with the Bronco's pickup, even with the fact that I haven't been slamming the gas as I'm trying to take it easy in the first 1000 miles. You can feel the turbo kick in and know that it's got the power you need to get to speed. I haven't towed yet, but that'll be on my agenda in the next month or two hopefully.
