Anyone in the St Louis market dealing with Sunset Ford? We need to get some of these local dealers to work with us like Granger in Iowa.

Did you see the 2000 off invoice granger is doing for those who reserve in October? I doubt any dealer will match that.

Granger has been very smart. They put out a awesome offer early to capture as large of a chunk of the reservations as possible. I would assume the daily reservations is lower now compared to launch so they upped the offer for those. This is doing two things. They are capturing more early reservations and those dealerships waiting are now behind the 8 ball from a volume standpoint as the granger offer upped the anti and they already have volume.

I am in the STL area and would switch to Sunset since that is the closest to me besides Sinclair.

Here are my thoughts though.
Granger has 1 hell of a deal with the $1,000 off invoice ($1,300 w x-plan).
Laura Ford is not too far behind at $2,000 of MSRP (no x-plan deal).

For the Wildtrack, which I am leaning towards, there is about a $700 difference between Granger and Laura with Laura being MUCH closer and could drive the truck home and stay within the recommended Break-In instructions. I know that we can only switch our dealer once so, kind of in the air between this all.

There is still plenty of time and Granger will be a better deal with all of the options as they are going with $1,300 off invoice, so invoice of all additional ad-on's too.... I think I am leaning towards Laura for now unless an STL dealership would match that. I don't think they would entertain a Granger match since they are undoubtedly getting thousands of pre-orders to offset their loss

Just really talking through all of this...

I spoke to a dealer (not Sunset) and very reliable person this afternoon and his recommendation, was to keep my current reservation with Sunset. They had a customer move their reservation to his dealership three months ago and it has yet to be finalized! Also being told that most orders won't even be delivered until Dec. 2021. Ford wasn't expecting the high demand.

I had a reservation with Sunset Ford for almost 2 months and never heard from them. I moved my reservation to Granger Ford.

Switching to Granger was a simple phone call. Took maybe 5min.

Yes very easy! Call Ford and swap over. 5 mins maybe.
