My Brother and me are trying to plan a off roading trip to Colorodo, in our Bronco’s any advice as to what month in summer is the best? And places to stay in a central location where we have several days of trail wheeling.

But where to stay and be able to access all of that area..?

That depends on your ability/willingness to dig deep. There are hotels in Ouray. Try AirB and other sites. Camping is plentiful. Montrose is more affordable and not a bad drive.

I would wait as late as possible, I usually go last week of July, I have gone the first week of July and ran into closed passes with snow. One of my favorite runs in Pearl Pass, has some challenging sections but nothing super crazy and really cool scenery.

@Lobber I think we are think mid July, but have to look at everything.

I went backpacking the 3 pass loop in June one year...had to stop at REI to rent snow shoes. Ha

Colorado is not a 3rd world country. It IS, however, very very popular from June to October. Get ahead of it with reservations.

Ouray July 4th week is awesome. However finding a place to if you wait to reserve is really hard and the price will be high. So likely the best option is late summer. All the trails will be open by then.
