Anyone look underneath? Chose to post this in the North TX Group as we'll be able to check out stuff in person....
After installing some accessories like MRT hood struts, I installed the Roush axle back exhaust within 2 days of delivery. Chose Roush b/c less 'raspy" and more deep tones, which it definitely has. However, at heavier acceleration, the cabin blossoms with all the higher tones and vibrations. Yuch.
There is only painted metal underneath, no undercoating. What I did not know is that beyond the OEM heat shield is the plastic bin that is dropped through the floor with absolutely no insulation for sound, and more importantly, no sealing of any kind to keep water out. Really?
I installed a Dynamat pre-cut kit today but I'm still trying to figure out what to do underneath for water protection, sound, and water.... I insulated the Roush muffler so I could pull the OEM heat shield to figure out how to stop its vibration.
Anyone doing anything underneath?
Thanks, looking forward to meeting everyone in April!
