Have any of you worked or ordered your Bronco from Groove Ford or Castle Rock Ford? I am running into a slight issue as the order cutoff is approaching. I placed and order on 2/10 with Groove Ford and I needed to make a modification to the order (Changing the 17" Machined Carbonized Gray to 17" Black High Gloss-Painted Aluminum with Carbonized Gray Beauty Ring, Beadlock Capable Wheels). The sales rep I am working with took 10 days to get back to me and is telling me that if I change those wheels its going to kick a bunch of features off (nothing specific he can tell me). On the build and price site that change effects nothing so I think I'm being BS'd.

I have been waiting for him to call me back because this conversation is happening over text and I need the details. While I'm waiting, I called up Castle Rock Ford since I live in CR to ask about them placing the order with them instead. They told me that change should not cause an issue, but my build has every option that is parts constrained. I know this and I'm fine with that. If I'm going to have to wait 12-24 months I might as well get exactly what I want! The one slight caveat is Castle Rock Ford wants a check for $1,500 when I make the reservation. They said they do not deposited it they just hold it and use it toward the Bronco when it comes in. Groove Ford collected nothing.

I am getting bad vibes about Groove Ford and think I should just switch to CR Ford. What might work out in my favor is not telling Groove Ford about the order at CR Ford and we will see who gets the order first, just one might have the wrong options. Just curious what anyone else thinks about this and if you had a similar experience? Thanks for reading this long post!

I bought my Tremor from Castle Rock Ford. They were great to deal with. I bought my Bronco from Freeway Ford in Denver and they were great too. Extremely transparent, even better than Castle Rock. The finance guy at Freeway wasn’t concerned with adding ANYTHING. Castle Rock, the finance guy wanted to sell us anything he could.

That’s good news regarding Freeway Ford….I hope to finally be taking delivery any day now….

Thats good to know, thanks! When I bought my F150 from Groove the finance guy tried to sneak in a loan and sell that loan to our bank. Shady.

suggest you make the drive down to COS, Phil long @ motor city. talk to a salesman named Austin. they are top notch, honor everything they say and the GM is a stand up guy. i got mine for X-Plan price, but they would have honored MSRP, did not mind putting it down in writing. no dealer tricks. PM me if you want his direct cell #

Thanks for sharing this info. Just looking to understand if COS Phil Long are offering X-plan via their connections somehow? I've been having significant struggles with Groove Ford's customer service treatment. They've told me to take it or leave it. Possibly I should take their advice.

I have no idea how but they honor it so I’m good with that if that makes sense. @Mordraq

@Mordraq not sure if i understand you question, but X plan is only available to ford employees/retirees who can then offer that plan option to folks they know. (each employee has like 4 or 5 per year they are giving) my 1st cousin had retired from Ford. the current plan is that you will pay MSRP. For the dealers that are offering you $1000 below invoice, that might come to be,but each dealer is only getting so many slots so you may be waiting for a long time. The only thing you can control now is to get your contract for MSRP so you are protected from paying a "ADM of 5K, 10K or 25K" as many of my fellow build folks in MY22 got hit with.

Get the agreement in writing with their signature on it not just yours. then you have leverage. the old, if i don't get what i want i will walk does not apply to the Bronco. The dealer will gladly show you to the door and they will sell your bronco for 25K over MSRP and they have been getting it. (Some crazy folks out there)

hope this helps.

Indeed. Thanks @Gatlinz. Unfort in the case of my Raptor, Groove has chosen to charge $15k ADM, even for hand raisers (GT holders). They were glad to put that in writing =).

I just picked my bronco up from Groove Ford. It was a very easy process. They honored MSRP, and applied my price protection and $100 deposit without me having to ask. They matched Flood Ford’s price for the extended warranty, and matched the interest rate I had pre-approved. Was in and out in a little over an hour. While they weren’t terribly communicative while I was waiting for my rig over the past 2 years, they made it an easy sales process.

That is great to hear at least. Gives some hope. Congrats Bonnie!
