Second question of they day to this group. I'm torn between looking at upgrading to 33" tires and 17" wheels, or going big and doing 35"s. $ may dictate this decision as then having to lift the car plus all of that seems like it'll put me over the edge. Do 33's fit and clear the suspension on the wheel well? Assuming i'll need to remove the crash bars, which i can do. Would like to run 315/70/17 if possible.

Any insight is welcome! Also, looking at 17x9 for the wheels. Snow here in Minnesota is unreal at times so i'd love more tire on the ground. I'll have to purchase another set of just snow tires too for Dec-February here, which is even more $

Thanks in advance for any tips or thoughts for this penny-pinching newb. :)

Check out this video by Budget Bronco. It should answer your question about 33's.

Thanks man! Very helpful. Looks like there is plenty of clearance for even 33.5" tires on 17's, even with the crash bars in. This is gonna save a ton of $ to put towards other stuff. Much appreciated.
