The PNW Bronco Group

Group for Bronco owners (past, present & future) in the Pacific Northwest

Hi everyone! I'm Chris & I just moved to the Lynnwood area (had been living in Northgate for a few years previously, I'm originally from the Chicago area). I'm looking forward to meeting folks at meetups/events in the future. I have a base 2-door on order from November & I'm super excited since I'm still driving my very first car, a 2005 Mazda3 (had it since 2006). I figured I've never had a different car & don't usually spend much money on myself so I needed a fun vehicle. I was also surprised to see a new base bronco is cheaper than a new Jeep with similar features.

@SEA_Bronco I personally think that's a great move. Drove a 2dr Wildtrak at the Bronco event in Gray's Harbor. The way I see it, a Basesquatch 2.7 is all the WT running gear (minus the Baja mode that can be added by FORSCAN)... with a price tag that's $10k less.

@SEA_Bronco My son was with me at the event... wasn't even planning a vehicle purchase... and is now getting a 2dr Basemansquatch.

@66GT I really like that the 2.7 has that one pedal feature on the AT. Plus I heard that you can manually disconnect the front stabilizer bar in ~5 minutes which I don't mind doing. I also got the mod bumper thinking I'd want to add a winch in the near future, but I read that the Warn winch isn't compatible with the base headlights due to a federal/dot regulation I think (not enough clearance on sides of headlights compared to signature headlights). I know the BB can get signature but then I'd be bumping up another $5-6k just for that so hopefully one can switch to compatible headlights for a warn or other aftermarket winch. I think your son will really like it & I'm ok foregoing the MGV seats and leather trimmed steering wheel since that can be changed later such as with Katzkin & swapping the steering wheel. I'm going to go WeatherTech for floor liners too.

Welcome. I'm south of Seattle. Give it a week or two for the temps to warm up a little, I'll try to set up a meeting for us all. Somewhere north I suppose, Shoreline or something.

@ezapar Thanks Eric, that'd be awesome. Hopefully my base gets in by then, if not I'll be showing up in my Mazda lol.

@ezapar I have little hope of seeing my Bronco before this summer or fall... but I'm up for a trip in the Marauder to do some heavy breathing over other people's until then. Just don't go too far North... lol.

@66GT I am ok with waiting on the Bronco since I was late to the party. It's the Maverick that I need for HomeDepot runs & since my Mazda3 is starting to show it's age (also surprisingly worse MPG nowadays too). Yeah I can't take my Mazda on longer trips anymore, been everywhere with it from Chicago to LA, Route 66, Highway 1 & a bunch of national parks.
