Sat in on a very long Ford virtual meeting this morning. I tried to focus in on anything that would be of interest to this group. The only thing that jumped out to me was how Ford is placing a production objective on Bronco above others. The way they stated it was out of new production units accounting for 233k that about 117k should be the full size Bronco. 30k the sport, 73k Maverick, 13k mache e, then going into the truck and suv section giving that 122k, with explorer having 29k, F-series 93k and the famous other 49k. So on the happy side of all this we should see mostly Bronco's being built. I can say most of our allocation has gone to Bronco's so far this year. In the forecast for this year they claim for our region the Bronco will jump up production by 322% over last year with the next closest being the Edge with 43% over last year, and they anticipate over 6700 produced for the 2022.
Quality of their product was also discussed too. They say they are aware and are working on correcting it. At least it has been acknowledged and there was no denial which is always always a great thing.
Moving forward they say they are focused on the customer. The commodity constraints will still be an issue as they move forward. I wanted to put this out to all of you who have been waiting and waiting. We have also asked for additional allocation for the Bronco above whatever they will give us. I want all of us to get and have what we waited for this year, built right the 1st time, and happy happy happy!! If there are questions please let me know.
