Broncos of Pennsylvania

Scranton, Allentown, and Philly to Erie, Washington, and Pittsburgh. A club where Pennsylvanians can engage in Bronco talk, share ideas, and potentially meet up.

Hey Keystone Crawlers… it’s been a minute since this thread has been active.

so, my production is scheduled for this week with hopes I will have my wildtrack sometime by the end of February.

I am located north of Butler in western PA along the Allegheny… just wondering what the interest might be come a break in the weather (April, May) for an organized Bronco ride from somewhere north of Pittsburgh up through the countryside (back roads) to a gathering place to oogle over each other’s rides, chat, and eat…

thoughts? Maybe some of our western PA YouTubers could help with this a bit???

I know some broncos on the cheasapeak club page are talking of an April 30 rausch creek trip with off road consulting if that is a level of trail riding your looking for (been once and it’s fun but at times intense and I recommend only if you got bash plates as it’s all rocks)

Hyner view state park would be a great halfway point in the state to meet up with other broncos

How about an eastern PA ride? AOAA? I have a super modded Jeep that I bash the crap out of. The Bronco is still too nice. Easy trails?

I started a chat on my local NJ group (Jersey / East Coast Bronco), asking if it would be better that we setup a new group for discussing trail rides which for NJ the places are also be RC and AOAA in addition to Wharton State Forest (NJ) which isn't that far a trip for the eastern PA members on this group as well. I hope in that way we can get a larger audience as to date I have been riding with both PA and NJ based broncos and i did see some chatter from the Baltimore/Chesapeake area talking about an RC trip in the spring. Want to see what people think of the idea here and I guess it would need a good name to be inclusive of everyone. Alternatively we can setup one group that covers outings to RC and AOAA as I think if you can get to one the other isn't that much further, and do a separate one for Wharton as it probably wouldnt apply to western PA members that much. And then anyone interested subscribes to them and when new interest pops up in our area chats we direct them over to it to join in the larger discussion.

Oh and @JeepersCreepers if you plan on being lighter on the Bronco for now - consider wharton.. Felt like the biggest concern was some tighter trails with some twigs and such raking the sides... Not much in way of rocks and many trails are soft sand and for most part higher speed than all the rockiness you find at RC and AOAA

I decided to setup a new group to be used for finding trail riders spanning the entire North East region (PA, NJ and NY) as I find myself bouncing between multiple area groups in the past.

I hope I can get the members here who plan on wheeling their rigs to also join the new group: https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/groups/northeast-trail-ride-connections.118/

Use it to find others who may not necessarily be members of your own general area (Broncos of Pennsylvania) club.

It's this weekend, but hoping to get enough traction on the new page to spur on regular outings and these things can sorta just start happening across this community

Did a similar thing when the Pontiac Solstice came out. About 30 of us, We started from the carpool lot at Prospect and ended up in Goddard Park on the shores of Lake Wilhelm for a picnic
