Little test of some parts I got recently. Napa MaxiTrac air compressor and Morrflate quad inflator/deflator.
Took about a min or so to air down from 38psi to 18psi then about 3:30mins to air them back up to 38psi.
Stock sasquatch 315/70 tires.

Man, I’d never get all those hoses tamed.

@wrbix These hoses are super flexible actually. I got them tamed and rolled back up in no time. I was worried at first but they used some super soft and flexible hoses in the MORRflate kit.

If there is one accessory you DO NOT cut corners or go cheap on, it’s an air compressor. 3:30 mins means you’ll be left at the trailhead, in the dark, cold, and when that thing breaks, then you’re stuck. If an ARB is a bit too eye watering (I get it), go with VAIR and just connect to the battery. These are not the random street tires on that F-150. 35” MTs need something that can take the overheating when airing up so you can get home and back to the wife and that bottle of bourbon.

@MadMan4BamaNATL I'm trying to figure how 3.5 minutes to air up 4 tires 20 psi is a bad thing. That's wicked quick in my opinion/experience.

@GABroncin For a lot of guys who are reading this, airing up or down is a new thing and has several factors to think about, some are obvious, some are not. There must be a balance when buying a compressor for tires this large that includes consistency, build quality, ruggedness (off road vehicle), and stability (heat). This is versus the parts being used and the strength of those parts, as you can’t exactly get back on the freeway home on tires aired down to 10-12 psi. Some compressors work great in the beginning, but degrade over time. ARB are known to be tough, can handle stress, and be reliable for years; thus the price. @DREWR13 isn’t new to wheeling based on his posts, but most guys here on the forum are new, so we want to ensure they have everything to think about. In re-reading my post, I left out or deleted my sentence saying “when it fails” you’ll be left, but I think DREWR13 understood my point and provided a rebuttal that he was good with any concerns and felt the compressor is good for him and why.

@MadMan4BamaNATL This is well written and how I took it as well. I mainly got this to test and see how it works and lasts. Eventually I will end up with a ARB mounted for onboard air. But for $115 it was worth the try.

I have this compressor on order (great deal at $114 and great reviews). Been looking at YouTube videos on how to add a pressure switch for cut-off to help with not overloading it and also videos on making a home version of the Morrflate hosing.

@DREWR13 side note, max props for the modified NB in your garage. Owned about for NAs, all track prepped and just modified. Only one we have now is our 92 Sunburst (fairly modified). Wonder if there is a relation with Miata+Bronco = pretty cool people :)
